Throughout 2024 , the SJI Rugby team ’ s unwavering effort and grit have led to commendable outcomes . The C-Division team participated in the Singapore Rugby Union Schools Under 14s Sevens ( SRU 7s ) on 27 April and the Saints Sevens Rugby Tournament on 24 and 25 May , earning a commendable 3rd place at SRU 7s and a well-deserved 2nd place at Saints 7s .

Embodying the Josephian spirit , the team ’ s hard work culminated in securing the 2nd Runner-Up position in the 2024 National Schools Games Rugby C-Division Championship . This success is a testament to their relentless dedication , teamwork and the unwavering support of coaches , teachers and parents . Their achievements on the field reflect their perseverance , discipline and passion for the sport .

Maintaining this high level of performance requires yearround commitment . Both the B and C-Division teams at SJI adhere to a strict training regimen , balancing fitness with academics , even during exam periods . This discipline drives their success and allows them to pursue ambitious goals .

The SJI Rugby team is also deeply committed to community service through various Values in Action ( VIA ) initiatives . In March this year , they participated in a beach cleanup at East Coast Park , demonstrating their commitment to environmental stewardship and their role in preserving Singapore ’ s natural spaces . This reflects their dedication to making a positive impact both on and off the field .
