SJI ’ s Canoeing Team soared to new heights in 2024 , demonstrating unparalleled determination and resilience at the National School Games ( NSG ). Their outstanding performance led to gold medals in events such as the C2 500m in both the A- and C-Divisions , along with the K1 500m in the C-Division . The team not only upheld their previous standing but further solidified SJI ’ s reputation , securing Second Runner-up in the C-Division and Third Runner-up in both the B and A-Divisions , with the A-Division achieving this success its second year of competition . This remarkable progress reflects their ability to thrive amid fierce competition . |

SJI ’ s canoeists also actively participated in other key competitions , including the Pesta Sukan Canoe Sprint Championships and the Singapore Junior Canoe Sprint Championship ( SJCC ). Their efforts resulted in notable finishes , such as the Under-14 K1 500m and Under-14 K2 5000m events at SJCC . At Pesta Sukan , they excelled in the Junior Men C1 2000m and Junior Men K1 2000m categories , further refining their abilities for future challenges .
Our Year 3 canoeists also continued their tradition of hospitality by welcoming international guests from La Salle College , Hong Kong . These interactions fostered stronger bonds between the two schools and deepened their connection to the Lasallian community .
