Lasallian Youth ( LY ) is a service CAS that works closely with the Lasallian Youth Network to share the Lasallian spirit throughout Singapore . The committed members embody the Josephian spirit of learning to lead through providing free academic mentoring and socio-emotional support to underprivileged youths , aged 9 -14 , by being older brothers and sisters ( mentors ) to their younger mentees .
A notable achievement was the National Day Arts and Crafts Workshop for the elderly , conducted on 8 August in collaboration with Kelantan RC “ Garden of Love .” This event , organised by Jet Hong ( FN502 ), Akshath ( FN502 ) and Alton ( LE510 ), involved extensive logistical planning , including coordination with the Kelantan Residence Committee ( RC ) and execution of the workshop outside of school premises .

Between April and September 2024 , the LY community executed a range of impactful projects , all meticulously planned and executed by the mentors themselves . This approach underscores the community ’ s commitment to training mentors in servant leadership and project management beyond the regular academic mentoring sessions that are conducted for the Lasallian primary schools .
Looking ahead , the community is set to continue expanding its positive impact through ongoing and future initiatives , maintaining a focus on servant leadership and community engagement .

The Service Leadership Training ( SLT ) Speaker Series , first launched on 16 August , kicked off with a coaching session by diversity and inclusion leader Mr Allister Ong . It was designed to equip LY mentors with skills in servant leadership and effective communication .

The community also held several online “ Fundays ” aimed at fostering bonding and providing relaxation . On 24 August , Anthea ( FN501 ) and Meryle ( FN501 ) hosted a session featuring skribbl . io and Among Us . Earlier , on 27 July , Ian ( LE509 ) and Damien ( FN503 ) organised and hosted a Roblox “ Funday ” with games such as Squid Game and Super Golf , allowing mentors and mentees to destress and strengthen their relationships .
