In 2024 , the Ecology Club participated in various activities , both external and within the school . To commemorate Earth Day , the Leftover Food Competition was introduced . Participants were tasked with crafting delicious dishes that minimize food waste and have the lowest possible carbon footprint . Students were mindful of resource usage , striving to create their dishes using minimal electricity and water , further contributing to the competition ’ s sustainability goals . The event showcased the culinary creativity of our students while also promoting important messages about environmental stewardship .

Organised by the People ’ s Association and NParks , it is part of the OneMillionTrees movement — a nationwide campaign dedicated to planting an additional million trees across Singapore over a decade . The activity provided a handson experience for the students , allowing them to play an active role in environmental conservation and urban greening .
