The year saw Ron Koh Jieran qualifying for the Optimist European Championships 2016 held in Crotone , Italy from 15 – 22 July . This Championship would contribute to his chance at representing Singapore at the 2017 SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia .
The sailors continued to display a strong sense of camaraderie , determination and commitment in 2016 and was involved in the SAF Yacht Club ' s Get Kids Afloat ( GKA ) Programme for 4 days . They also helped out by guiding the juniors in the rigging of their crafts during the capsize drills and more .
