Tenderfoot Camp Tenderfoot Camp is a rite of passage for Secondary Ones who have just joined the Scouting fraternity . This year ’ s Tenderfoot Camp was held from 14 to15 April , at Sarimbun Camp . There , the juniors learnt from their seniors scouting skills such as outdoor cooking , tent pitching and campfire cheers and songs . They put in their best and more importantly , had fun , knowing that the skills they learnt during those two days will be much needed throughout their scouting life .

Change of Command The Scouts assembled at the hall on the noon of 6 July to witness the ceremony . In the hall , the Scouts watched intently as the Secondary Fours and Threes marched to the middle . In a simple gesture , the Secondary Fours handed over their lanyards to the Secondary Threes . A farewell video was played , goodbyes were said and the atmosphere was solemn yet joyous at the same time .
Annual Parade It was a rainy day ( a first in an AP ) and they were all soaked and cold but , together with the other UGs , the Scouts stood their ground and braved the rain . It was an honour for the unit to send its best to participate in a parade that celebrated SJI ’ s 160th anniversary .
