GOALS OF THE SESSION:
- Reflect on deeper learning (How do you see
deeper learning in your classes?) - Teachers
have to think about that and put some post-its
on some posters on the walls. LEAPS projects
focus on 6 competences that students need
when they finish school:
● Academic content
● Problem solving ability
● Cooperation
● Effective communication
● Learning how to learn
● Developing and academic mindset
- The two American students do two 15-minute
oral presentations. It’s the final product of
their 6-week internship in Søndenborg.
● Law explains that High Tech High
students do two oral presentations every
year where they have to show that they
are getting the competences. He talks
about 3 types of presentations (PPT, Ted
Talk and Metaphor).
● Olivia use the Ted Talk format and Gigi
the Metaphor one.
● Rubrics are used for assessment.
