• Move quickly and silently to the designated lockdown area in the classroom.
• Remain absolutely silent— no talking, laughing, or use of electronic devices.
• Stay out of sight and away from doors and windows.
• Do not open the door for anyone.
• Avoid using cell phones to prevent the spread of misinformation and reduce distractions.
• Stay in place until you are given the official all-clear by school administration or emergency personnel.
It is important to stay alert, follow directions, and maintain a calm, respectful environment to ensure everyone ' s safety.
Evacuations Plans
An Evacuation of a school will be performed for a variety of reasons including but not limited to fire, explosive threat, weather conditions and health concerns. An Evacuation will begin with the use of the fire alarm notification system. Once activated all staff, students, and visitors are required to leave the building and assemble at a predetermined location. Once outside, school attendance will be taken, and further instructions may be given. No one will be allowed to leave the assembled location without the permission from school administration.
Students are expected to:
• Stop what you are doing immediately and listen for directions.
• Line up quickly and quietly with your class or assigned group.
• Leave belongings behind unless told otherwise.
• Walk calmly and silently to the designated evacuation area.
• Stay with your class and teacher at all times.
• Do not use phones or other devices unless directed by an adult.
• Remain quiet and alert for further instructions or the all-clear.
It is important to stay alert, follow directions, and maintain a calm, respectful environment to ensure everyone ' s safety.
Inclement Weather Notifications
In the event of inclement weather, all school delay, closure, or early dismissal announcements will be communicated through ParentSquare. Notifications will be sent via email, text, and / or push notification depending on your account settings. Please ensure your contact information is up to date in ParentSquare to receive timely alerts.
Decisions regarding delays or closures are made by the Superintendent and shared as early as possible. Please monitor ParentSquare closely during winter months or when severe weather is expected.
