Ocean is. It takes about 5 hours to fly north to Singapore from Perth.
We have enjoyed the time with Mimi’ s mom Roslyn and step Dad Frank as well as Mimi’ s sister, her husband and their daughter Claire. Claire and her very nice husband Brendan have two beautiful children, Eva and Tilli, that they are raising very well and methodically. Claire and Brendan did attend many of Ryan’ s soccer games and they made a good effort to be part of his life. I took Claire to an observatory once to show her some science and we went to the beaches sometimes. One time, we walked onto a topless beach and she commented
Brendan, Claire, Tilli, Eva O’ Shea to her Dad and me about all the boobies. Her Dad and I walked through the water and I turned around once and her Dad had disappeared. Then he surfaced and a wave had knocked him over and he
Raymond had broken his collarbone. In the past, our families would routinely go on vacations together and one of our favorite spots was Margaret River and Dunsborough about 3 hours south of Perth. Down south was an incredibly beautiful area of large Karri trees, wineries, beaches, caves and towns to explore. In fact it is rated as the top 1 or 2 places in the world for large wave surfing and attracts the international competitions for this purpose.
I have played tennis since arriving in Perth and I have been a member of the nearby City Beach Tennis Club for many years where we play mainly social tennis predominately on grass courts. The club boasts the best grass courts in Western Australia and they are very nice. The quality of the players is quite high which kept things fun and challenging. I play around 15 sets a week plus I am a member of a private golf club and play 1-2 rounds of 18 holes a week. My regular group of players have made it fun and we never took it too seriously as my handicap ranged from 13-19.
