and SoHo to take in some of the galleries. We then took the 3 hour Circle Line tour around the City as well as walked quite a bit around various places.
Overall, we were a bit disappointed in our NYC experience as we had the feeling that we had been there and done that before. Nothing seemed to excite us much but I did enjoy taking photos. After a few days, we took a 2.5 hour bus ride down to Atlantic City to attend a conference. After setting up the booth, we took a long walk on the Pier that we had not seen in many many years. It was quite interesting to see the diversity of people and the range of derelict and modern buildings. I also walked around the town and found it to be quite depressed and run down with many derelict buildings. It was a real ghetto and I was a bit afraid at times until I found the fishing end of the town that showed signs of life with restaurants and activities. The food in the hotels and elsewhere was average but on the last night we found the absolute best Italian restaurant that we could have eaten at every night and it was right next to the hotel!
