husband Brad and Brooke and Troy. Then Linda and Pete drove us up to Jersey City but first we had an incredible Deli lunch at a Harley Davidson dealership / deli in Maryland. We hopped in a taxi in Jersey City and in 20 minutes we were through the Lincoln Tunnel and into Manhattan and ended our road trip that went on for about 1,500 miles. Our hotel was on the East Side on 44th street between 2nd and 3rd avenue and we had a nice spacious suite with self contained kitchen.
We met up with
Mimi’ s close
friend Pam Kok,
whom she
knew from
Singapore, at
her favorite
Italian place for
dinner called
Eataly that was
located in the
Marcelle & Mike
Flatiron District
on 23rd and
Fifth Avenue.
We walked
from our hotel
to and from
this district
which was
Judy and Hugh
quite far and it was in the rain
Troy
Brooke
but we didn’ t seem to mind.
We hadn’ t seen Pam in many years and it was great to catch up. Later in the week she invited us to her apartment for a gourmet lunch take out from a famous Jewish Deli. Her husband Gerry joined us but he had just had some major heart surgery and was not quite up to our visit. Pam had

bought us tickets to
see Jersey Boys and
it was spectacular. Mimi and I took the subway
down to Little Italy and we wandered around there
