about the possibilities the new Sports Center will offer and 2023 will be a great year for Charbonneau tennis , and pickleball too !
Kathi Gray profile : My love of our tennis club and of Charbonneau drives me to continually contribute my time and talents . I have resided in Charbonneau for over seven years and have been an active member of the Charbonneau Tennis Club . Tennis has been a part of most of my adult life . It is a great way to meet friends and always have a connection wherever you live . I currently serve as the Tennis Club Board President . In the past , shared ownership in a local tennis club has provided me with club background experience . I proudly play on USTA teams representing Charbonneau at both local level and sectional play .
My business background includes a variety of opportunities . As an HOA President , I led homeowners through a successful $ 21 million remodel of our Colorado resort complex . I have worked as chairman of fundraising for a countywide organization and event planner . My management skills of over 40 years as owner / manager of real estate provides me with experience in on-time scheduling , emergency experiences and customer service . I earned a BS in Administration , Lewis & Clark College . I hope to spend many more years actively playing tennis here at Charbonneau .
Pickleball news :
Debbie Stonebraker , Pickleball Club President , reports : The hiring of the new Sports Center Manager and the opening of the new Sports Center allow the opportunity for the Pickleball Club and the Tennis Club to both grow and enrich the individual clubs and reap the benefits of a larger group sharing costs and responsibilities . The clubs both look forward to being able to utilize the two buildings to put on league or large member events . Possibilities for the Pickleball Club include round robins , club championships by level , all-club social group play times and maybe even a tournament . Looking forward to 2023 we anticipate big growth in our club . With the current 117 pickleball members , our goal is to have 200 active members .

Hours Thurs-Sun 12-6pm

The newly elected pickleball board is presented below . We have worked collectively to develop by-laws for the club , as well as rules for use of the Sports Center . The pickleball board will hold monthly meetings on the second Wednesday of the month from 3-5 p . m . in the Activity Center . Members are welcome to attend and observe only . Membership applications are available in the activity center . Our website is coming soon as part of the CCC website , under pickleball . The site will keep you informed of rules and regulations , how to join the club , current activities and a lot more .
There are plans for a free Resident Pickleball Clinic Jan . 22 , 2023 , 1 p . m . RS- VP Donna Roisom at dkroisom @ comcast . net or 503-504-9970 . Come see what it ’ s all about . I think you will find , as so many of us have , that pickleball is a really big “ DILL ” here in Charbonneau . Paddles and balls will be provided A few volunteers will be there to help explain the basics
No experience necessary , just a desire to learn and have fun

new passion when I started playing pickleball about three years ago . A bonus besides the fun and friendships is that it ’ s a great workout . I am grateful as President of the Pickleball Club to experience the growth in our membership , and the fact that we will soon have a stateof-the-art pickleball facility . I am retired from a career as a dental hygienist . We are tickled to have our grandkids live close by . My husband Herman and I have been residents of Charbonneau since 2007 and can ’ t think of anywhere we would rather live .
Carol Hill : I have lived in Charbonneau since 2007 and there are many things I absolutely love about living here : taking our grandchildren to the pool ; walking my dog through the neighborhood ; the wonderful neighbors and cherished
