The processor is in the midst of building a 250,000-square-foot automobile processing facility on 88 acres at the port ’ s Blount Island Marine Terminal .
Jaxport and the wider Jacksonville business community continue to innovate and invest millions of dollars in improvement projects to remain on a path of success . Most recently , SSA Marine — the port ’ s largest international container operator — committed to making over $ 100 million in terminal improvements to their Jacksonville facility . These will include repaving the terminal , new inbound and outbound gates , and the purchase of new terminal handling equipment , including three new ship-toshore container cranes . Jaxport will add two cranes on top of that , which are currently in the process of being built and delivered .
These improvements come on the heels of the $ 420 million Jacksonville
