CHOPARD
L.U.C QUATTRO
Spurred by the new design of its L.U.C XP and XPS collections in 2017, Chopard this year adds this
pared-down L.U.C Quattro. The dial is silver-toned and vertical satin-brushed across its entire surface,
swept over by a set of blued hands. On the dial you’ll find the signature L.U.C Quattro 6 o’clock subdial
that offers both small seconds and a pointer-type date indication. At 12 o’clock sits the impressive
nine-day power-reserve display shaped like a fan. The minute circle is punctuated by two large 3 and 9
o’clock Arabic numerals, and by blued applied hour-markers. The Dauphine hands are set with
SuperLumiNova.
The rose gold case here measures 43mm in diameter and 3.75mm thick, and it’s made to admire up
close. The caseband is satin-brushed, its bezel polished and its back hand-engraved. The brand new
bracelet is made of woven-effect blue calfskin leather with an alligator leather lining. Of course, like all
L.U.C models, the watch proclaims its “Poinçon de Genève” quality hallmark.
Inside is Calibre 98.01-L, which offers Chopard’s patented Quattro technology. That means it’s
powered by two pairs of stacked barrels, is a certified chronometer and will operate for a maximum 216
hours. Only 50 pieces will be made. Price: $25,800.
