PATEK PHILIPPE
REF. 5740/1G-001 NAUTILUS WITH A PERPETUAL CALENDAR
Thierry Stern wanted the first grand complication in the Nautilus
collection to maintain a thin profile. That’s why Patek Philippe opted
for the analog perpetual calendar powered by ultra-thin self-winding
caliber 240 movement, a recessed 22-karat gold mini-rotor and a
particularly slender calendar module. The white gold 40mm by 44mm
watch remains only 8.32 mm high. In fact, it is Patek Philippe’s
thinnest perpetual calendar. Note that the subdial for the date, the
most important calendar indication, is slightly larger than the two
others. The 24-hour display simplifies calendar settings. To improve
wearing comfort, Patek Philippe introduces a new, patented fold-over
clasp with four independent catches. Price: $119,073.

its stunning New York City dial, is the first minute repeater to locate the
wearer as he or she plays the chime for any location anywhere. The
piece combines two of Patek Philippe’s most highly coveted ski
