Bonney : Retired Nurse / Midwife / Charter Member / Silver Star / Life Member
Mound Bayou , MS – Soror Nancy Mosley Bonney became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on January 3 , 2020 . Soror Bonney was initiated in Iota Delta Omega Chapter on May 5 , 1990 . On December 6 , 2003 , she became a charter member Chi Mu Omega Chapter . She served as basileus of the chapter from 2010 to 2014 . Soror Bonney received a BS in nursing from Albany State College , nurse midwifery certification from Meharry Medical College and a MS in nursing from Delta State University . She was employed at the Taborian Hospital and Delta Health Center for over 33 years . She was also an ADN instructor at Coahoma Community College . She was an active member of the Greater Bethel AME Church and the Order of Eastern Star . Soror Bonney was preceded in death by her only child , Delia Cooks ; son-in-law , Santoris Cooks ; her parents , two brothers and her sister , Bathasheba Patterson , who passed during Soror Bonney ' s homegoing celebration . She is survived by her husband of 33 years , Henry Bonney , Jr .; granddaughters , Hadiya and Indiya Cooks ; two sisters , relatives , friends and members Chi Mu Omega .
Boone : Retired Educator / Silver Star
Baltimore , MD – Soror Anne Lilly Boone became an Ivy Beyond the Wall . Soror Boone was initiated into Epsilon Omega Chapter April 3 , 1982 . She graduated with a bachelor ' s degree from Morgan State University and obtained her masters ' degree from Johns Hopkins University . Soror Boone taught home economics in the Baltimore City School systems . She was active in Epsilon Omega , participating in Founders ' Day , Salute to Outstanding Young Women , dance and education committees . She was also a member of the Epsilon Omega choir . Soror Boone leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband , Douglas ; children ; Soror Diane Baldwin ( Louis ), Duane , and Douglas , Jr .
Bowles : Educator
Columbia , MD – Soror Alfreda C . Bowles became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on December 18 , 2020 . She earned a degree in music education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champagne and met her husband , Quinton Bowles , while in the University of Illinois orchestra . She was passionate about music and the arts . She was instrumental in organizing the Howard County chapter of The Society , Inc ., an organization that celebrates and supports the arts . Soror Bowles was initiated into Iota Lambda Omega Chapter in 1988 . While at Iota Lambda Omega , she served in multiple capacities . In addition to serving as anti-basileus , she chaired the program , standards , and membership intake committees , she served on numerous committees such as big sisters , fashion show , Founders ' Day , music , MLK oratorical contest , and social . Soror Bowles also served on the North Atlantic region ' s standards committee .
Bowman : Silver Member
Grambling , LA - Soror Rosena Bowman became an Ivy Beyond the Wall . She was married to Elme Bowman . Sr ., their marriage lasted more than 52 years which produced seven children . She attended Robinson Business College where she received her executive secretarial diploma ; Grambling State University , for her BS in business administration ; and Kansas State University , for her MS in guidance and counseling . Soror Bowman was a Life Member / Silver Star of Epsilon Psi Omega Chapter and an Eastern Star . Those left to cherish her memory are her children : Wilma Destin , Lorine Bowman , Elem Bowman Jr ., Joyce Mansfield , Orville Bell , Kathy Washington , and Jerold Bowman . Sixteen grandchildren , 22 great grandchildren . and six great-great grandchildren along with the Mt Zion Church family .
Brewer : Charter Member / Golden Soror / Life Member
Kansas City , MO – Golden Soror Sena Lee Watkins Brewer of Beta Chapter became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on May 23 , 2020 . She was initiated into Delta Beta Chapter at Southern Illinois University in 1966 . Soror Brewer earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Saint Mary . She was a charter member and first basileus of Upsilon Rho Omega Chapter in Overland Park , Kansas . Soror Brewer became a member of the Beta Omega Chapter in 2006 , where she served on and chaired several committees . At the time of her death , she was a member of the nominating committee . She was a case manager for the physically and developmentally disabled at Johnson County , Kansas Developmental Supports , where she worked for nearly twenty years until her retirement in 2009 . Soror Brewer is survived by twin sons , Gerald Brewer , Jr . ( Heather ) and Stephen Brewer ( Holly ), grandsons , Gerald Brewer III and Braden Brewer , sister , Marguerite Adams , brother , Joshua Watkins , Jr ., and other family and friends .
Browne : Retired Educator / Business Owner / Silver Star
Baltimore , MD – Soror Gwendolyn Browne became an Ivy Beyond the Wall in March 2020 . Soror Browne was initiated into Alpha Chapter in 1974 . She graduated from Howard University with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics . After graduation Soror Browne became a part of the Epsilon Omega Chapter and remained until her death . Soror Browne held the office of pecunious grammateus . Soror Browne also held the office of treasurer of Epsilon Omega Foundation . She was on the inspiration committee and Founders ' Day committee . She was an authorized AKA vendor with Gwen ' s Gems . Soror Browne was known for her design of custom-made jewelry and her extensive Black history memorabilia . The memory of Soror Browne will be cherished by her family , friends , and Epsilon Omega Chapter .
