Omega Gamma Omega Celebrates Five Years of Service
Blythewood , SC – Omega Gamma Omega Chapter celebraes its 5th anniversary , chartered in 2015 with 70 member the membership has grown to over 150 members through transfers and reclamation . Omega Gamma Omega has organized numerous events in the Blythewood-Northeast Columbia community like beautifying the local parks , also sorors have hosted several dinners to raise funds for Africare , the Lions Club , and the Lutheran Services Carolina ( Refugee Services ). Chapter members and their families perform random acts of kindness on MLK Day . In recognition of their efforts , the chapter was awarded the 2017 SARC Cluster VII Best of the Best Award for this annual event . Sorors joined forces with Divine Nine organizations to purchase and collect hundreds of items for nearly 400 Allen-Benedict Court residents who were displaced from their subsidized housing complex due to carbon

We shifted gears and began hosting virtual events to support our # CAP SM students , bolster financial literacy , raise awareness of breast cancer , and celebrate the Harlem Renaissance Era .
Epsilon Chi Omega and Iota Xi Chapters Host Virtual Town Hall Meeting
Florence , SC – Epsilon Chi Omega and Iota Xi Chapters in collaboration with the National Pan-Hellenic Council , Pee Dee Chapter proudly presented a virtual town hall meeting showcasing local , state and federal candidates . Thirteen candidates introduced their respective platform allowing voters the opportunity to ask questions , to make an informed decision via absentee or on voting day . The moderator for this nonpartisan forum was Mrs . Tonya Brown of WPDE TV-15 News . The virtual town hall was LIVE on the Epsilon Chi Omega chapter ' s Facebook and YouTube social media pages with 1,120 total views , 26 shares and positive feedback . It was our desire the town hall would have an impact on the outcome of all elections affecting constituents in the Pee Dee region . Positive changes were visible , and for the first time since the Charter of Florence , an African American female made history being elected as mayor of the City of Florence , SC . The Honorable Teresa Myers Ervin officially becoming the 23rd person to hold the title mayor . Additionally , two African Americans were elected to fill the two-city council at-large seats . The connection committee hopes to continue this collaborative endeavor .

Detroit , MI – Alpha Rho Omega Chapter ’ s membership committee sprang into action with a series of fun and engaging activities to help retain the reclaimed pearls . To help build sisterly bonds the membership committee held a virtual painting event . Everyone mixed the paints to achieve their

definition of the colors described and with the stroke of a brush the fun and bonding began . In no time it seemed as though the instructor was finished . Interestingly , her painting seemed far more complete than our local artist , however the participants wrapped up the Zoom and then vowed to call their mentor or mentee to share their finished masterpiece when it was complete . The event was a success opening doors of comfortable dialogue amongst sorors .

New Haven , MI – Omega Xi Omega Chapter ’ s Target 3 Economic Legacy Committee celebrated local black businesses through its Black Owned Businesses social campaign . For three months , the chapter spotlighted Macomb County small Black owned businesses via Facebook page , Twitter , Instagram and email directly to chapter members . The goal was simple : raise
