Delta Kappa Omega Celebrates Two Centurions
Tallahassee , FL – How many chapters have two centurions with over 150 years total membership ? Delta Kappa Omega Chapter celebrated two centurion members . Pearl Soror Juanita Bailey turned 102 years old and Diamond Soror Annette Thorpe turned 100 years old . Their two memberships total more than 153 years . During their 153 years of membership , they have served as committee chairs , regional conference delegates , and Boule conference delegates . They fondly recall memories of the servitude in our wonderful sorority . These lovely sorors are all smiles when they wear their pink and green and reminisce of their continuous membership and love for the sorority . Memories include when they first became members and reaching milestones in our sorority — Silver , Gold , Pearl , and Diamond for Soror Annette Thorpe . Pearl Soror Juanita Bailey joined Beta Alpha Chapter at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in 1949 . Diamond Soror Thorpe joined Beta Tau Chapter at LeMoyne-Owen College in 1938 . The chapter showered the two with cards and gifts from the members .
Gamma Theta Omega Receives a $ 14,000 Grant for STEM Program
Tampa , FL – Gamma Theta Omega Chapter received a $ 14,000 grant from the AT & T Foundation . These funds will support Gamma Theta Omega Chapter ' s Science , Technology , Engineering , and Mathematics ( STEM ) education program . The check was presented in October . Zeta Tau Omega Celebrates 65 Years of Service
West Palm Beach , FL – Zeta Tau Omega Chapter was chartered on December 10 , 1955 , in West Palm Beach by 15 women who paved the way
Celebrating 100 Years of Ivy Leaf ® Magazine of leadership , sisterhood , and service . The " Poppin ' Pink Affair cheers to 65 years of sisterhood and service in Palm Beach County !" was held virtually . This event had greetings from Madam Supreme Basileus Glenda Glover ; South Atlantic Regional Director , Soror Carolyn G . Randolph ; Educational Advancement Foundation Executive Director , Soror Erika V . Everett ; South Atlantic Representative to the International Standards Committee , Soror Penny Birch ; South Atlantic Regional EAF Coordinator , Soror Darice E . Richard and Cluster 1 Coordinator , Soror Kay Madry Sullivan . The chapter was presented with a proclamation from Florida Senator Bobby Powell . The Mistress of Ceremony was Soror Nikki Austin-Shipp , CEO of South Florida Institute on Aging ( SoFIA ). This event provided sorority members the opportunity to reconnect and share the history of Zeta Tau Omega . Other activities included music and an online auction . The chapter also raised funds towards chapter scholarships for deserving students .
Iota Psi Omega Donates to Oconee Valley Healthcare
Athens , GA – Iota Psi Omega Chapter ’ s Target 2 committee members for wellness and health reached out to Oconee Valley Healthcare ( OVH ), Inc ., requesting ways the chapter could help patients and clients . Chief Clinical Officer , Carri Thomas , requested blood pressure cuffs for patients who had returned home and need to monitor their pressure daily . Chapter members purchased ten cuffs for the center . Members also provided canned goods for Oconee Valley ' s Little Food Pantry . Donations were made to the American Heart Association for its work in making strides in awareness programs and helping communities control cardiac illnesses .

Kappa Omega Observes Breast Cancer Awareness
Atlanta , GA – Kappa Omega Chapter observed Target 2 Breast Cancer Awareness International Community Impact Day by hosting a virtual candlelight vigil to raise awareness , celebrate survivors , and honor those who lost the battle to breast cancer . The event included a rendition of It is Well with My Soul and testimony by Soror Monica Kaufman Pearson , a 22-year survivor . A liturgical dance was performed by Soror Elizabeth Hinmom , Alpha Pi Chapter , and Target 2 Chairman Soror Chandra Coleman
