the University of San Francisco . In midst of the pandemic , they realize how it has negatively impacted many college students financially ; they quickly discussed a solution to offer financial support . Two scholarships of $ 250 were awarded to students at San Francisco State University and the University of San Francisco . After reviewing 17 applications and reading emotional essays , they were inspired to continue their scholarship by expanding the opportunity to historically Black colleges and universities in the fall of 2021 . Eta Sigma Chapter looks forward to continuing a legacy that exemplifies what it means to ensure everyone can achieve academic success no matter what adversaries may come .
Nu Xi Acknowledges Caregivers on AKA Impact Day
Montgomery , AL – In honor of AKA Caregivers ' Impact Day , Nu Xi Chapter took the time to recognize caregivers on the campus of Auburn University at Montgomery . Throughout this entire pandemic , we all have been impacted by the COVID-19 in some type of way , both mentally and physically . We have witnessed a considerable portion of healthcare professionals on the front lines risking their very own well-being , battling the virus and sacrificing vast amounts of time separated from their families and loved ones to care for the lives of others .
As a small token of appreciation , the chapter decided to create something special for healthcare professionals on campus to honor their countless sacrifices and profoundly essential work performed each day . Members of Nu Xi gifted the caregivers at the AUM Campus Clinic with care baskets that included a mug with a packet of hot chocolate , selfcare items , lifesavers gummies ( because they definitely are lifesavers ), and a sweet note for each caregiver from the chapter . The chapter acknowledges the endless sacrifices made by those who help students ' day in and day out . From conducting COVID-19 testing to administering vaccinations and treatments these ladies go above and beyond . Nu Xi Chapter will continue to place a spotlight on all caregivers and the critical role they play to keeping us safe during this pandemic .
