Silver Spring , MD – The Sisterly Relations Committee of Theta Omega Omega garnered chapter sorors ' attention for the sisterly relations activity titled " A Galentine Charcuterie Board Construction Experience ."

The interactive virtual activity led by Soror Jacqueline Sykes-Washington consisted of a fun and engaging activity showcasing taste , style , and creativity . This delicious charcuterie board experience included a variety of colors , textures , and flavors that created a visual feast as well as an edible one . Sorors individually created an artistic array of various snack essentials in a variety of shapes , colors , and textures with a mix of sweet and savory items . Forty-five Theta Omega Omega sorors made food art , including fresh and dried fruit , chocolate , nuts , candies , an assortment of meats and cheeses , seafood , fresh herbs , bread , mustards , and jams .
This positive bonding experience between sorors fostered a refreshing interaction and bridged the gap between the generations .
Upsilon Delta Omega Makes An Impact in the Community
Cherry Hill , NJ – Upsilon Delta Omega Chapter sponsored MLK Day of Service . The chapter donated three bins worth of items for youth , including lip balm and socks , to The Victorious Foundation and , partnering with American Water , provided an abundance of items such as feminine hygiene products , diapers , N95 masks , and canned foods to the Anna Sample House . The chapter also partnered with American Water for the MLK Day Drive Thru Donation Jam , where members of the public were able to drop off donations at the American Water facility . The event was covered by the local NBC news affiliate in Philadelphia . Hundreds of families will be impacted by the amount of donations received . The chapter also hosted the highly anticipated Pink Goes Red event , " The Pink Heartbeat Club : The Virtual Experience ." The chapter wanted to bring back the high energy dance fitness party from prior years , designed to burn fat and engage muscles , but tailored for a virtual platform . The heart pumping segments were interspersed with presentations about the importance of heart health and fun trivia games . Over 85 participants attended the event and gave rave reviews . The chapter is grateful for all who donated and participated in these activities .
Theta Pi Omega Makes an Impact During MLK Day of Service
Laurel , NJ – Theta Pi Omega Chapter , celebrated Dr . Martin Luther King Jr . Day of Service with a program entitled , " A Day of Prayer , Purpose & Promise ." This virtual Community Impact Day , which included over 225 zoom participants , celebrated the life and legacy of Dr . King and his contributions that paved the way for social justice and equality . The participants were reminded of Dr . King ' s dreams for this nation through the keynote speaker , Rev . Dr . Christopher Betner , Sr ., lead pastor of Delval East , The Lifehouse Church and musical selections from Soror Rosalyn Lawrence and Elder Brennan Pritchett . Theta Pi Omega also honored Dr . King ' s legacy of service during the program by presenting three local service organizations with a financial donation in support of their work in the community ; Joseph ' s House of Camden County - an emergency shelter that offers homeless persons supportive housing and comprehensive social services ; Sisterhood Inc . of Burlington County - an academic and health-related organization serving at-risk and underserved populations ; and Eleanor Corbett House of Gloucester County - a social services transitional facility that houses women and families .
