Waite Named Senior VP and Chief Communications Officer
Soror Sandra Waite has been named Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Director at Guardian in New York City . After leading communications for Aetna and , most recently , managing CEO and Enterprise Communications for CVS Health , Soror Waite was tapped for the role . In this position , she will be responsible for the company ' s communications and corporate social responsibility strategy . In addition , she will support the CEO and executive leadership team in executing the enterprise strategy . Soror Waite has nearly 20 years of experience in corporate communications , managing executive thought leadership , internal and external communications , crisis and issues management , and corporate reputation . She has held executive positions over the last 10 years , leading high-performing teams for Fortune 100 companies . Soror Waite began her career as an employment law attorney . She earned a JD from the University of Virginia and a BA from Spelman College . She is a former basileus of Iota Epsilon Omega Chapter Bergen County , NJ , and she is a current member of Pi Theta Omega Chapter in Morristown , NJ .
Walker-Harrison Appointed
Soror Armisha Walker-Harrison was appointed as the new Oklahoma City Public Schools Director of mental health . Oklahoma City Public Schools district is the second-largest school district in the State of Oklahoma . She is a licensed alcohol drug mental health counselor . She completed her bachelor ' s degree in healthcare administration at Langston University , earned a Master of social work from the University of Oklahoma , and is presently pursuing a Doctorate in psychology specializing in counseling psychology at Northcentral University . Soror Walker- Harrison is currently an active member of Sigma Sigma Omega Chapter , where she was one of nine sorors to reactivate in the chapter . She has served as basileus , first anti-basileus , anti-grammateus , parliamentarian , MIP chairman , audit chairman , and chairman on various chapter committees . In addition , Soror Walker-Harrison served in many roles within the Mid-Western Region .
Webster-Morgan Awarded Nurse of the Year
Soror Tej Webster-Morgan , BSN , RN , was honored as Texas Children ' s Hospital Acute Care 2020 Nurse of the Year . This award recognizes a nurse who has made significant contributions in advancing Texas children ' s mission of creating a healthier future for children and women . This achievement comes when frontline healthcare personnel is working tirelessly to save lives during a global pandemic . As a result of her dedication to maintaining a high level of care within her unit , in March 2020 , Soror Webster-Morgan was promoted to charge nurse . She is a six-time Daisy Award nominee and Daisy Award finalist , recognizing outstanding clinical skills , compassion , and patient advocacy . She is a proud HBCU graduate of Prairie View A & M University College of Nursing . Soror Webster-Morgan is a member of the Zeta Gamma Omega Chapter , where she is an outgoing chairman of Target 2 : Women ' s Healthcare and Wellness .

Soror Mary Williams received the 2020 Nurse Ambassador Award presented by the National Black Nurse Practitioner Association . The organization , comprised of advanced practices registered nurses , advances the profession of nurse practitioners and community engagement . She is the owner of the first black-owned Urgent and Primary Care Clinic in
Clarksdale , MS , and is the recipient of several awards , including the city of
Clarksdale 2018 Health Care Hero Award , the Clarksdale-Marks Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Community Service Award , and listed as one of 50 top businesswomen in the 2019 Mississippi Business Journal . Soror Williams became a certified nurse practitioner in 2007 and received the Doctor of Nursing Practices degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2011 . In addition to her practice at the urgent and primary care facility , she is employed as a nurse practitioner and hospitalist at the Northwest MS Regional Medical Center , specializing in nephrology and urology . Soror Williams was initiated into Iota Delta Omega Chapter in 2006 and is the immediate past basileus of the chapter .

Modern Healthcare Magazine named Soror Nichole Wilson one of the Top Minority Leaders to Watch across the nation as a part of their top 25 minority executives ' awards program . She was also awarded the Regent ' s Award from the American College of Healthcare Executives ( ACHE ), recognizing the top healthcare leaders across Indiana . She is the vice president of Integrated Primary Care and Ancillary Services at Community Health Network in Indianapolis , Indiana . She is a boarded certified healthcare leader , having earned the distinction of being a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives . She was also one of six healthcare executives across the nation to be selected for the prestigious Thomas C . Dolan Executive Diversity Program through ACHE . Soror La Verne Ford Wimberly is a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Chapter in Tulsa , OK , a Silver Soror , and Life Member . For 52 consecutive Sundays , since the onset of the global pandemic , she has dressed in her Sunday best attire and posted on Facebook words of encouragement . What started as motivation for her and members of her church , Metropolitan Baptist , has turned into a worldwide phenomenon , gone viral , and touched the hearts of many . Woods-Skipper Honored
Soror Sheila Woods Skipper , also known as Judge Emeritus , was recently honored by her portrait ' s unveiling presentation , which will hang in City Hall in Philadelphia , PA . Soror Woods-Skipper is an active member of the Omega Mu Omega Chapter and has devoted her life to bring fairness for all within the judicial system . The Honorable Sheila Woods-Skipper currently sits on the Court of Common Pleas , First Judicial District , and Orphans ' Court Division . However , one of her most significant accomplishments is the creation of the First Judicial District Mental Health Court . The Mental Health Court serves hundreds of offenders by providing assistance to help facilitate their reintegration into society . In addition , in 2014 , Judge Woods- Skipper was appointed by the Supreme Court to the Advisory Council on Elder Justice and opened an Elder Justice Resource Center to provide direct services to seniors and education to the public regarding issues impacting seniors in the justice system .
