Ward : School Administrator / Pearl Soror
Washington , DC – Soror Eulah Richerson Ward became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on March 22 , 2021 . She graduated from Howard University ; she became an educator with DC public schools until her retirement in 1984 . Soror Ward made the most of her retirement years as an active member of Xi Zeta Omega , The Emeralds , Just Good Friends Social Club , and the Smithsonian Institution Women ' s Committee . She was also a devoted member at Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington , DC , where she actively served on the altar guild and women ' s committee . In addition , Soror Ward hosted her Pink Pearl sorors for lunch gatherings . She was a mother , wife , and servant of God . She is survived by her loving son , grandchildren , and great-grandchildren .
Ward : Retired Educator / Former Basileus / Golden Soror / Life Member
Philadelphia , PA – Golden Soror Valerie Ward became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on February 6 , 2021 . She was initiated into Gamma Epsilon Chapter at West Chester University , where she received a BA degree in elementary education and M . Ed . degree from Beaver College ( Arcadia University ). She pursued her career as a teacher in Central Bucks School District and retired in 1997 . As a member of Omega Omega Chapter , she served on numerous committees : parliamentarian , Leadership Task Force co-chairman , and graduate advisor for Gamma Epsilon Chapter . Soror Ward served as the 20th basileus from 1981-1984 . She had 50 new membership initiations from 1981 to 1983 , and the Reading Is Fundamental program . She served in numerous roles during NAR and NARC : workshop leader , Boule recorder , and protocol liaison . Other affiliations include Top Ladies of Distinction , Inc ., and the NAACP . Soror Ward was an active member of New Bethel AME Church . She leaves to cherish her memory , godson , David Taylor , and a host of relatives , friends , and sorors .
White : Retired Educator / Community Activist / Inaugural Pearl Soror
Baton Rouge , LA – Soror Rose Anita Knowles White became an Ivy Beyond the Wall . Soror White was initiated into Gamma Omicron Chapter , Tougaloo College , graduating in early childhood education . She earned her master ' s degree in education from Southern University and A & M College . Recognized as Teacher of the Year ( 1995 ), Soror White taught for 36 years . After retiring , she co-founded the Camphor Memorial UMC Tutoring Program and developed an award-winning program - A Gumbo of Arts , Music , and Culture . She was a member of Phi Delta Kappa and the IPBOEW ( Elks ), serving as a National Directress-Shoe Bank for children . In 2011 , the Baton Rouge Council of Women presented her its community service Silver Magnolia Award . Soror White was a member of Nu Gamma Omega Chapter from 2007 until her death and was the chapter ' s first Pearl Soror . Preceded in death by a son , Adrian , Soror White is survived by daughters , Sorors Angela and Ann White , cousin Soror Renalda Jaynes , and a host of family and friends .
Williams : Educator / Golden Soror / Life Member
Roseboro , NC – Soror Carolyn Culbreth Williams became an Ivy Beyond the Wall . Soror Williams was initiated in the Delta Alpha Chapter at Fayetteville State Teachers College in 1953 and graduated two years later with honors earning a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education . In addition , she received a Master of Education from North Carolina College . Her teaching career spanned nearly four decades , during which she was awarded Teacher of the Year . She was a member of Evans Metropolitan AME Zion Church and was voted Woman of the Year by her peers . As a Golden Soror and Life Member , she served the sorority for over 67 years . She was a member of Upsilon Kappa Omega Chapter . She leaves to cherish her memory , her son , Cornelius LoMax Williams II , and a host of relatives and friends .

Mobile , AL – Soror Betty Moore Washington became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on December 11 , 2020 . She was a member of Aimwell Baptist Church , where she served as an usher . Soror Washington was initiated into Delta Theta Omega Chapter in 1980 and is a Life Member . She received her bachelor ' s and master ' s degrees from Alabama State University . She was a retired teacher from the Mobile County Public School System after 31 years and a member of the Mobile County Education Retirees Association . She was preceded in death by her parents , Sam and Pearl Moore ; two brothers , Lee Andrew Moore , Donald Ray Moore ; sister Faye Ware , son , Perry Washington and a niece , Maria Moore . She was survived by her husband , Edward Washington ; daughter , Deidre ( Tyrone ) Davis ; grandchildren , great-grandchildren , goddaughter , godson , other relatives , and a host of close friends .
Williams : Retired Educator / Golden Soror
Columbus , GA – Golden Soror Maggie Parrish Williams became an Ivy Beyond the Wall . She received a bachelor ' s degree from Ft . Valley State College and a master ' s degree from the University of Detroit . She was a classroom educator in the Muscogee County School District for 37 years before her retirement . Golden Soror Williams was a member of Gamma Tau Omega Chapter , where she held several offices and served on several committees . She was a member of First African Baptist Church . She was active with the Deaconess ministry , Rebekka Circle , General Missionary Circle , Smithsonian Choir , and the Frank E . Beauford Sunday School class . Other memberships include the Ft . Valley State College Alumni Association , Jack and Jill of America , Inc ., Georgia Retired Teachers Association , and a life member of Council of Mathematics . She also volunteered at the local library . Survivors include a daughter , Monica Williams Smith ( Frederick ), and a host of other family and friends .
