Williams : Retired Educator / Golden Soror
Miami , FL – Soror Shirley Skinner Williams became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on November 29 , 2020 . Soror Williams was initiated into Gamma Zeta Chapter in spring 1956 during her junior year at Newark State Teachers College ( now Kean University ), and later joined Beta Alpha Omega Chapter . Soror Williams earned her master ' s degree in special education from Kean and was a charter member of Lambda Omega Omega Chapter . After 32 years as an educator in the Asbury Park , NJ school district , she and her husband of 63 years , Tom , retired to South Florida , where she was a member of Zeta Rho Omega Chapter in Fort Lauderdale . She was a mentor to many and served her community . A woman of grace and dignity , a devoted wife , a loving mother , a loyal friend , a faithful servant - Soror Williams leaves many memories of a life and legacy to be celebrated .
Wilson : Human Resource Professional
Oakland , CA – Soror Adama Wilson became an Ivy Beyond the Wall . Soror Wilson was initiated into Xi Gamma Omega Chapter in the fall of 2017 as a legacy . She graduated from California State University , Eastbay , with a Bachelor of Arts in business administration / human resources . As a human resource professional , her career allowed her to work for private industry , public sector , and international operations . In her position in Liberia , she received acclamations for her work in providing educational opportunities to economically deprived children who could not afford tuition and books . Cherishing her memory is her legacy mother Golden Soror Rhita Wilson , her father Claude Wilson , sisters Maya Wilson and Ayana Wilson , along with a multitude of uncles , aunts , nieces , nephews , and friends .

Pittsburgh , PA – Soror Gelora D . Wilson became an Ivy Beyond the Wall . She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Fayetteville State Teachers College and a Master of Education with a certification in special education , supervision , and administration from Duquesne University . Soror Wilson was a dedicated educator in the Pittsburgh Public School system for 32 years . She was a certified state evaluator for the Pennsylvania special education program and served in the Conference on Black Basic Education , Western Region . She was a member of Bethel AME Church for over 50 years . In her 64 years as a sorority member , Soror Wilson held various offices : anti-basileus , epistoleus , and severed on numerous committees . Soror Wilson leaves to cherish her memory her children Soror Yuolanda ( James ) Murray , Sidney Jr . ( Charmaine ), Viveca Ashely ( DoMingo Powell ); grandchildren Christopher , AJ , Amari , Charles III , RaNal , Marley , and Luke ; many adopted children , a host of relatives and her beloved sorors .
Winston : Retired Educator / Former Chaplin / Golden Soror
San Diego , CA – Soror Ja ' Nice G . Davis Winston became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on January 15 , 2021 . She was initiated in Alpha Rho Chapter in 1961 and received her BS degree from the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff . She moved to San Diego after marrying her husband , Willie Wintson . She received a master ’ s degree in administration education ( Azusa Pacific University ) and counselor education ( U . C . San Diego , La Jolla ). Soror Winston was a member of Epsilon XI Omega Chapter , where she served as chaplain , chairman of debutante ball and scholarship committee . Soror Winston was a guidance counselor and teacher for Forrest City and San Diego Unified School Districts for 40 years . She was a recipient of Who ' s Who Among Teachers . As a local elder at Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church , she served as a Christian education counselor and in other roles . Soror Winston leaves to cherish her memory , family , friends , and members of the chapter .
Worrell-Carter : Educator / Silver Star
Bowie , MD – Silver Star Soror Gwendolyn Bayne Worrell-Carter became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on February 5 , 2021 . She attended Mississippi Valley State University , where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business . Soror Worrell-Carter was a 1984 initiate of Epsilon Pi Chapter . She obtained her master ' s degree from Walden University . She was an educator known to her students as " The Math Whiz ." In 2000 , she spearheaded bringing the tradition of cotillions to Xi Xeta Omega Chapter . From 2018- 2020 , she served as the Mississippi Valley State University D . C . Alumni Chapter president . Soror Worrell-Carter was an active member of Psi Epsilon Omega Chapter . She leaves to cherish her memory , her husband , Dwan Carter ; legacy Soror Camille Worrell ; stepson Dominick Carter , two sisters , Soror Cheryl Bayne and Paula Winters ; one brother , James Bayne , Jr ., and a host of relatives , sorors , students , and friends .
Young : Silver Soror
Danville , VA – Soror Deborah D . Adams Young became an Ivy Beyond the Wall . Soror Young was initiated on the campus of St . Paul ' s College . Soror Young served with dedication on the awards committee of Psi Epsilon Omega Chapter . She was instrumental in utilizing her skills and talents to successfully develop award-winning chapter books . She was employed at Patton Boggs Law Firm in Washington , D . C ., for 30 years and a member of the Shockoe Missionary Baptist Church . Those left to cherish her memory are her husband , Vincent N . Young ; one son , two sisters , one brother , four grandchildren , two sisters-in-law , a host of nieces , nephews , other relatives , friends , and sorors .
