Goff : Retired Counselor / Golden Soror / Life Member
Oklahoma City , OK – Soror Juanita Goff became an Ivy Beyond the Wall . She joined the sorority 56 years ago on the campus of Langston University . She was a supporter of Langston University and Alpha Zeta Chapter and the " Upward Bound " students . She assisted high school and college students with their careers . She was endearingly called " Mama G ." Soror Goff served Alpha Upsilon Omega Chapter in various positions , including hodegos and graduate advisor . She also served on several committees , including courtesy , graduate advisor ' s council , and Back to School Bash . She was honored as the first member of the Mid- Western Region to be awarded the Vivian Dotson Jones Outstanding Graduate Advisor in 1979 at the 49th Midwestern Regional Conference . Family , friends and her " Upward Bound " students will forever remember Soror Goff .
Green : Retired Educator / Silver Star
Albany , GA – Soror Loretta Gwendolyn Green became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on January 29 , 2021 . She received her bachelor ' s degree from Albany State College in education and her master ' s degree in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in library science . She was the first African American in Georgia to receive a full Regents scholarship that paid for both her undergraduate and graduate studies . She graduated with honors for both degrees . She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church since 1966 and participated in several church organizations . She was initiated in 1970 and was a Life Member of Delta Eta Omega Chapter , Inc . She was married to Dr . Edwin A . Green Sr . and had three children . Cherishing her memory are her sons , Dr . Eric Green ( Tiffany ); and Dr . Edward Green , Jr . ( Colleen ); daughter , Mrs . Pamela Clark ( Phillip ); her brother , John Stocks Jr ; and five grandchildren .
Green : Retired Microbiologist / Educator / Pearl Soror
Oakland , CA — Soror Maud Pearson Green became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on February 28 , 2021 . She was initiated into Rho Chapter at the University of California , Berkeley , in 1960 . Soror Green graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in zoology . She worked as a microbiologist at Oakland Children ' s Hospital , Howard University , and was even a curator at CA Academy of Sciences . Soror Green went on to receive her master ' s degree in education administration from UC Berkeley . She worked for the San Francisco Unified School District for the next 25 years , including as principal of Lowell High School . Soror Green was active in Alpha Nu Omega Chapter along with many other different service organizations . She was also an active member of St . Columba Church . Survivors include sorors , her family , and friends .
Hamilton : Educator / Pearl Soror / Life Member
Bowie , MD — Pearl Soror Annette Bush Hamilton became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on March 22 , 2021 . Soror Hamilton was initiated at Alpha Chapter in 1952 and graduated from Howard University in 1955 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology with a minor in economics . She was an educator and administrator for Cleveland Public Schools , volunteered with many community organizations and boards , and was a devoted member of Mt . Zion Congregational United Church of Christ . Soror Hamilton was a Life Member and active member of Alpha Omega Chapter , where she served as basileus from 1983 to 1984 . She also served on the international standards committee during the administration of Supreme Basileus Eva L . Evans . After the death of her husband of 43 years , Leonard , she spent 16 years in Sun City , Arizona . She relocated to Maryland in 2018 to be close to her daughters . She leaves to cherish her memory daughters Soror Deborah Hamilton-Diggs ( Anthony ) and Soror Carol Hamilton ( Brett ), and many relatives , sorors , and friends .
Harris : Silver Star / Life Member
Upper Marlboro , MD – Soror Olivia Harris became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on December 21 , 2020 . Soror Harris was initiated into Iota Gamma Omega Chapter in 1983 and remained active until her death . She received her bachelor ' s degree from George Washington University . Her professional career began at the US Department of State . She worked for 14 years before transferring to the Prince George ' s County Workforce Services Corporation as the director of employment and training services , which she held until her retirement . Soror Olivia was an active member of Allen Chapel AME Church for more than 55 years and served as president of the gospel choir and the Della B . Greene Missionary Society . She was a member of the Pastor ' s Aide , Steward Board , flower and hospitality committees . She was also a member of the Washington Conference Branch of the Women ' s Missionary Society of the African Methodist Episcopal Church . Soror Harris leaves to cherish her memory , son Lawrence E . Harris , Jr ., sister Nancy J . Hicks , and a host of family , friends , and sorors .
Harrison : Retired Educator / Pearl Soror
Columbus , GA – Pearl Soror Ida Maye Robinson Harrison became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on February 8 , 2021 . She attended Florida A & M University , where she received her bachelor ' s degree . While attending FAMU , she played at the university ' s original girls basketball team . She was an outstanding athlete and was enshrined in the FAMU Sports Hall of Fame in 1993 . Soror Harrison was initiated in 1949 in Gamma Tau Omega Chapter . She was a Life Member and held several offices , and served on many committees . She attended St . James A . M . E . Church and served on the Stewardess Board Number One and the Willing Workers Club . She was a retired educator with Muscogee County School District after 35 years . She was a life member of the Georgia Retired Educators Association and the Muscogee Retired Educators Association . Survivors include sons Leo T . Harrison ( Sandra ) and a host of other family members and friends .
