Chambers : Retired Educator / Diamond Soror / Life Member
Philadelphia , PA – Soror Margie Chambers became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on December 25 , 2020 . She was initiated into Psi Chapter at Mercy-Douglass Hospital School of Nursing , where Soror Chambers earned her BSN degree in nursing . Later she earned her master ' s degree from Temple University . She began her professional career teaching nursing in the public sector for 20 years . She taught nursing for at-risk students in the School District of Philadelphia and retired , succeeding many years of service . Soror Chambers joined Omega Omega Chapter and served as graduate advisor for Epsilon Nu ( 1970 ), Delta Iota , and the health committee . She was an active member of Vine Memorial Church and held offices of secretary and treasurer . Subsequently , she transferred her membership to White Rock Baptist Church . A book scholarship was established in her memory for students at Cheyney University of Pennsylvania . Her husband , Walter B . Chambers , preceded her in death . She leaves to cherish her memory , son Jay Chambers , many relatives , friends , and sorors .
Clark : Retired Educator / Pearl Soror / Life Member
Chicago , IL – Pearl Soror Catherine Clark became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on February 9 , 2021 . Soror Clark was initiated into Alpha Psi Chapter at Tennessee State University in 1948 . She served as basileus of the chapter and later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in English in 1951 . Soror Clark served for 30 years as an educator in the Illinois School District 151 . As a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church , Soror Clark served as Sunday school superintendent , a Vacation Bible School teacher , and a member of the Resurrection Lutheran Church Theater Guild . Soror Clark , who loved to travel and share stories of her family lineage , was a longtime member of the Theta Omega Chapter . A Pearl Soror and member of the Theta Omega Chapter Seniors ( TOCS ), Soror Clark was preceded in death by her husband , Elmer S . Clark . She leaves to cherish her memory , son Gregory A . Clark , brother Howard Sloss , several nieces and nephews , close friends , and sorors .
Clemons : Retired Educator
Paducah , KY – Soror Fay Polk Clemons became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on February 6 , 2021 . She was initiated in Beta Omega Omega Chapter in 1971 and remained active with the chapter for over 30 years , serving in several leadership roles . She received her bachelor ’ s , master ’ s , and rank one degree in education from Murray State University . Soror Clemons was employed in the Paducah Public School System for 27 years , and upon retirement in 1974 , she was named Teacher of the Year and was placed in the Paducah Public School Hall of Fame . In addition , she was an ordained deaconess and was a member of Burks Chapel AME Church for over 60 years , where she held many leadership roles . Soror Clemons leaves to cherish her memory , daughter , Cherrie Todd , and son , Roland G Clemons , and a host of relatives and friends .
Coker : Social Worker / Silver Star / Life Member
Akron , OH – Soror Margo Coker became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on December 27 , 2020 . She graduated from the University of Akron with a BS in social work ; earned a master ’ s degree from Kent State University with a degree in rehabilitation counseling . Soror Coker was initiated in the Delta Pi Chapter at the University of Akron in February 1972 . She was employed by the Bureau of Rehabilitation Department until her retirement . She served on the bylaws , scholarship , and Founders ’ Day committees and was a member of the Pearl Foundation . She was a devoted member of 2nd Baptist Church as a deaconess and greeter . She was a regular attendee of regionals , boules , and clusters .
Coleman : Funeral Director / Retired Nurse / Silver Star / Life Member
Jacksonville , FL – Soror Arlene B . Coleman attended Bennett , initiated in the Zeta Xi Chapter on December 9 , 1972 . She earned an associate degree in nursing from Florida State College , a bachelor ' s degree in nursing from Jacksonville University , and a master ' s in nursing from the University of Phoenix-Jacksonville campus . She retired from nursing in 2015 . In addition to her nursing career , she attained her Mortuary Science Degree from the Miami-Dade Community College and served in her family business AB Coleman Mortuary until her death . Soror Coleman was also an adjunct professor in nursing and mortuary science , teaching at various colleges and universities . She also was a member of the United Missionary Baptist Church , served on several committees , and sang . She was a Life Member and Silver Star of Gamma Rho Omega Chapter . Soror Coleman leaves memories cherished by her mother Ida M . Coleman , God-sister / best friend , Dr . Julia P . Paul , relatives , professional colleagues , and friends .

Thomasville , GA – Soror Everlen Coleman became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on February 18 , 2021 . She was a Lambda Xi Omega Chapter member for 43 years , serving on Black family , building and properties , health , and tutorial committees . She served in various offices , including the corresponding secretary . She was honored as Teacher of the Year . She also worked on many committees in the community . She was an active member of Providence Baptist Church , having served on the Mother Board until her health failed . She attended Fort Valley State College and later received her master ' s degree in education from Florida A & M University . Her memory is cherished by one brother , Arthur Lee Coleman , and a host of nieces , nephews , godchildren , relatives , and friends .
