Women of all ages participated in this two-way discussion to help debunk myths , get informed on the head-heart connection which includes the impact of depression and anxiety on the heart , and the importance of physical activities and health screenings . PMO sorors posted their challenge videos and pictures via social media and encouraged others to join in on the challenge . They also indulged in heart friendly recipes provided by the women ' s health and wellness committee . The committee has continued to inform our local community of the various health screenings through social media promotions . Our social media presence has reached more than 6,000 views via Facebook .

Dramatic Showcase ." Mu Kappa Omega embraced the study of forensic speech at Historically Black Colleges and Universities ( HBCUs ) by hosting the virtual event " Dramatic Interpretations ." Four gifted students from the national championship team of Tennessee State University showcased their interpretations in what is now the first public event of its kind . The event was streamed on Facebook Live and featured a guest appearance by the author of two of the dramatic pieces , Christy Thomas , and the forensic speech and debate coach of the Tennessee State University team , Sean Allen . The students ' performances garnered rave reviews in the comments section . Thanks to our judges , Soror Tenechia Beal and Soror Melanie Gordon of Mu Kappa Omega , and Dallas Jones , who had to make the difficult decision in selecting the winners of the competition . Unprecedented excellence was illustrated out loud as the Zeta Gamma Omega Chapter spearheaded HMAC Founders ' Day celebration two consecutive years , one in the customary manner with a luncheon and recently virtually via Zoom . Both events set the tenor and tone as how a celebration may be done with style and class . Equally unprecedented was that HMAC Founders ' Day had a registrant of 1,674 sorors ; a number which exceeded the previous year in person attendance . As the sorority continues to stand on the shoulders of their founders , one must salute the pearls of Zeta Gamma Omega as they respond ' Yes ' to continuing the mission of service to all mankind .
