Columbus , GA – Soror Thelma Louise Moss Robinson became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on June 12 , 2021 , at 92 . Soror Robinson was a life member and a member of Gamma Tau Omega Chapter , where she held many positions . She attended Savannah State College , where she received a bachelor ' s degree in English and a Master of Arts degree in English from Tuskegee University . For years , she was an English teacher and English Department Chairman at Carver High School . She became one of the first African Americans to join the faculty at Columbus College , where she was employed as a counselor until her retirement . She was a member of First African Baptist Church , where she served as a member of the deaconess ministry , director of the FAB chanters for over 25 years , and coordinator of the new members ' program . She leaves to cherish her memory ; her loving husband , Edward Robinson ; and her son , Edward Robinson , II .
Robinson : Former Basileus / Diamond Soror
Richmond , VA – Soror Thelma Mealy Robinson became an Ivy Beyond the Wall . Soror Robinson rose from teacher to principal to assistant superintendent during an educational career spanning more than 40 years . She was a diamond member of the sorority and past president of Upsilon Omega Chapter in Richmond . A Cleveland native , she earned a BA in mathematics from Virginia Union University and a MA in curriculum development from Columbia University . She was active in the Richmond community , serving on numerous educational boards , civic and charitable organizations . Soror Robinson was the founder of the St . Perpetua Scholarship Fund for minority students and helped develop a leadership training program to prepare students to serve on nonprofit and corporate boards . She loved to care for others . She enjoyed gardening , traveling , reading , and time with family and friends . She was preceded in death by her husband Milton J . Robinson Jr . and survived by her son , Milton J . Robinson III , and two grandchildren .
Saint-Preux : Entrepreneur / SilverSoror / Life Member
Chicago , IL – Soror Marie Josee Saint-Preux became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on June 18 , 2021 . Born in Cap- Haiti , she was initiated into Lambda Psi in 1981 at Lewis University , where she received a bachelor ' s degree in business administration . She later joined Xi Nu Omega Chapter serving as financial and corresponding secretary and on many other committees . Soror Saint- Preux started her own company with her brother ( NAS Electronics ) and continued to serve through other organizations while dedicated to her Haitian community . She was a member of the Midwest Association of Haitian American Women ( MAHAW ), served as president of the Haitian Catholic Mission , was a member of the DuSable Heritage Association , and was a board member at her alma mater Lewis University . Soror Saint-Preux leaves to cherish her memories her mother-Anne Marie St . Preux , sister Claire St . Preux , brothers John and Fred St . Preux , nephews-Brian , David , Daniel , Jonathon , and Joshua St . Preux , and her niece Nina St . Preux .
Sanders-Frazier : Educator
Pittsburgh , PA – Soror Aldora Sanders-Frazier , a faithful member of The Church of the Holy Cross , became an Ivy Beyond the Wall after a lengthy illness . She was a teacher and a high school counselor in the Pittsburgh Public Schools for 36 years . She is survived by three siblings , Marti Sanders Hubbard , James ( Dee ) Sanders , and Lester Harris ; her aunt , Soror Nan Currington ; numerous nieces , nephews , cousins , and sorority sisters . Family , friends , and sorors .
Shaw : Retired Educator / Motivational Speaker / Silver Soror
Augusta , GA – Soror Yvonne Shaw became an Ivy Beyond the Wall . She was initiated into Zeta Xi Omega Chapter on March 31 , 1979 , and was an active member until her passing . Soror Shaw earned her BS at Tuskegee Institute ( University ), MS at South Carolina State University , and Ed . D . at Nova Southeastern University . She retired from the Richmond County Board of Education with 33 years of service as a teacher , guidance counselor , and principal . After retirement , she chaired the Division of Education at Paine College . She was a member of many organizations , including the Augusta Chapter of Top Ladies of Distinction , Incorporated and Augusta Chapter of The Links , Incorporated . She was an active member of Bethel A . M . E . Church and served as trustee and other roles . She was preceded in death by her husband , Dr . Arthur H . Shaw , and leaves to cherish her memory daughters Tara Burns and KiKi Shaw , seven grandchildren , four great-grandchildren , and other family and friends .

Huntsville , AL – Silver Soror Lanita V . Slaton became an Ivy Beyond the Wall . Soror Slaton joined the sorority membership in the Epsilon Gamma Omega Chapter in Huntsville , Alabama , in 1988 . During her 32 years as a sorority member , she served as the chapter secretary and assistant graduate advisor to the Gamma Mu Chapter at Alabama A & M University . Soror Slaton was a member of several chapter committees , including the debutante ball table arrangement committee , the sisterly relations committee , and the elderly outreach committee . In addition , she was active on the Target 2 Women ' s Health Committee .
Smith : Retired Educator / Diamond Soror
Long Beach , CA – Diamond Soror Virginia " Patti " Smith became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on March 6 , 2021 . She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Southern California and a Master of Education from California State University , Dominguez Hills . Before retiring , she was an educator in the Los Angeles Unified School District for 37 years . Diamond Soror Smith was initiated in Sigma Chapter in 1946 , where she served as basileus . She was an active member of Theta Alpha Omega Chapter for many years and served on the Debutante Ball , public relations , membership , and community service committees . Soror Smith was married to her husband , Winston Smith , for 65 years until his passing . She leaves to cherish her memory , her children , Wendy Sampson and Winston Smith , Jr ., seven grandchildren , fourteen great-grandchildren , two nieces , Soror Cheryl Whiting and Tamara Rollison , and a host of relatives and friends .
