We earned second place in the Greek organization challenge , which illustrates our commitment to the goals and targets of our international organization ." Psi Alpha Omega Recognizes Seniors
Stockbridge , GA – Young high school seniors are recognized for their academic achievements . Since 2005 , Psi Alpha Omega ( PAO ) Chapter has been encouraging students in the community to reach for their educational goals in excellence . As a result , scholarship applications have increased each year . In 2018 , five scholarships were awarded , totaling $ 14,600 . In 2019 , another five scholarships were awarded , totaling $ 15,400 . In 2020 , six scholarships were allocated to students with a collective value of $ 15,600 . The chapter continued to award scholarships totaling $ 15,600 in 2021 . The funding for the
Psi Alpha Omega ' s 2021 Scholarship Recipients . college scholarships is made possible by the chapter ' s annual signature fundraiser - Taste of the Vine . Since 2010 , the Taste of the Vine has been a staple community event . The fundraiser has grown each year , and the increased attendance generates more funds that benefit the students of Metro Atlanta . Chairmen Soror Deborah Norman and Soror Felicia Perry worked diligently to streamline the college application process resulting in increased community participation and a competitive scholarship process . Psi Alpha Omega Chapter is led by Basileus Soror Shana Rooks Malone .
Beta Zeta Omega Hosts Virtual 37th Annual Calendar Doll Benefit
Orangeburg , SC – Beta Zeta Omega Chapter made history by hosting its first virtual Calendar Doll Benefit event . The thirty-seventh Annual Calendar Doll Benefit with the theme , " Leave a Little Sparkle Wherever You Go ," highlighted seven young ladies in the sixth and seventh grade . During the premiere , the Calendar Dolls participated in an opening dance , presented their parents , and individually stated a monologue describing what characteristics made each of them sparkle . The 15th South Atlantic Regional Director , Soror Irene McCollom , introduced the benefit to the chapter , and previous Calendar Doll Benefit Director , Soror Janice McCollom , who directed the pageant for thirty years were highlighted during the virtual event . Miss Calendar Doll 2020 , Nylah Holmes , took her final walk and thanked the sorority for the extraordinary experience and her group ' s support . In addition , she crowned Miss Calendar Doll 2021 , Hannah Johnson , during the virtual benefit . Following the premiere of the Calendar Doll Benefit event , the 2021 Calendar Dolls were " live " on the chapter ' s Facebook page to express how their experiences prepared them for the virtual event and what they are looking forward to throughout the year while participating in the Calendar Doll activities .

Detroit , MI – During financially trying times for many , Alpha Rho Omega Chapter hosted a series of financial seminars in conjunction with the Bullish Institute of Financial Literacy . Touching on topics from trendy to traditional appealed to different age groups , and economic demographics were discussed to help bring the basics of starting and managing your investment portfolio . Course 101 gave us the foundation , and Course 102 taught us how to manage investment portfolios

Lambda Pi Omega Transforms Annual Fundraiser
Detroit , MI – June 4 , 2021 - Lambda Pi Omega Chapter held their first virtual fundraiser , " The Afterwork AKAsion 5 : The Virtual Experience ." Since 2016 , the AKAsion has always been an in-person signature fundraiser for the chapter , bringing together 600 + people annually to kick off summer in downtown Detroit while raising thousands of dollars towards the chapter ' s community programs . Led by Ways & Means Chairman Soror Kristin Goldston , the 2021 event was transformed into a virtual experience via Zoom , including an " AKAsion for Giving " donation campaign .
