Eta Eta Omega Awards Scholarships
Fort Pierce , FL – Eta Eta Omega Chapter awarded three thousand dollars in scholarships to essay contest winners in Indian River and Saint Lucie Counties . Ashley Bryant , a Vero Beach High School senior , received one thousand dollars ; Joycelyn Hodges , Sebastian River High School , received five hundred dollars ; Skylar Mobley , Fort Pierce Westwood High School , received one thousand dollars ; Philip Adams , Fort Pierce Westwood High School , received five hundred dollars . All the students are 2021 high school graduates and will begin university studies by the fall of this year . A significant financial boost to the chapter ' s scholarship effort is attributed to the success of the Pink Rose Foundation ' s " It ' s the Purse for Me ." The entirely virtual , one-month endeavor resulted in over nine thousand dollars net gain . In addition , the foundation gave special recognition to Sorors Bonita Williams , a first-place fundraiser ; Soror Sharon Wilson , second place ; and Soror Dayatra Long , third . Eta Eta Omega applauds the Scholarship Committee , Pink Rose Foundation , and supporters for their contributions to scholarship and community projects .
Alpha Alpha Theta Omega Hosts Virtual Pink Jam
Tampa , FL – Alpha Alpha Theta Omega Chapter hosted their third " Pink Jam " for young ladies in grades sixth through twelfth and their female guardians . Collaborations with Target 1 HBCU for Life : A Call to Action , Target 2 Women ' s Healthcare and Wellness , and Target 3 Building Your Economic Legacy culminated in empowerment sessions featuring budgeting and goal setting , young entrepreneurs , body positivity , mother / daughter TikTok dance challenge , and HBCU awareness . The participants asked and answered questions throughout the morning . One of our sorors shared her financial savvy along with several budgeting tips . Our young entrepreneurs featured two young authors ; Lyndsey Archer (" Fly , Doctor , Fly !") and Joshua and Wade Williams (" Wade Through the Pandemic "), and JL FunColorz kidpreneurs , Jordan and Joshua create custom crayons . They came and conquered the crowd as they demonstrated their expertise in their fields . As the Pink Jam presenters continued to mesmerize all , the body positivity session also left its mark . It also provided a great segue into the mother / daughter TikTok challenge , which got everybody up and moving . Finally , the chapter ' s HBCU awareness video was shared and thoroughly appreciated by all participants as they used this time to cool down .
Kappa Omega Celebrates 98 Years of Sustainable Excellence
Atlanta , GA – Kappa Omega Chapter celebrated 98 years of sustainable excellence with a virtual celebration that honored the distinguished ten charter members , including Founder Marie Woolfolk Taylor , Kappa Omega ' s first chapter president . The celebration included greetings and historical dedication from Soror Glenda Glover , Supreme Basileus , Soror Carolyn G . Randolph , South Atlantic Regional Director , and Soror Melanie Key Bales , SAR Cluster V Coordinator . Special remarks and community dedications were given by Soror Madison Grant , basileus of Alpha Pi Chapter , and Atlanta City Council Member , Soror Marci Collier Overstreet . Reflections of timeless service featured 2021 Soror of the Year , Soror Opel Askew , Diamond Sorors , Marie Blake and Nellie Meyers , Pearl , Golden , and Silver Stars . Soror Kathye Gary Adams and Soror Amiya Crockrom of Alpha Pi rendered beautiful vocal selections and prayer by Soror Tonya Lawrence Miles . Kappa Omega Basileus , LeKeisha D . Jackson , gave closing remarks announcing the chapter ' s centennial celebration in 2023 . Chartered on March 1 , 1923 , as the first graduate chapter in the Significant South Atlantic Region , Kappa Omega has received several service awards and recognitions . This year , Kappa Omega received regional awards and local recognition for EAF contributions , overall excellence programs , Target 3 , Target 5 , and demonstrated leadership and service to the Atlanta Community .

Nu Lambda Omega Hosts Relay for Life virtual walk event .
Atlanta , GA – The Nu Lambda Omega Chapter sorors had to tighten up their shoelaces for the " American Cancer Society ' s Relay for Life " virtual walk this year . This year ' s Relay for Life was a virtual walk that brought sorors and others together in a unified effort to fight cancer , celebrating survivors and remembering loved ones . Target 2 raised $ 1390 in exceeding their goal of $ 1,000 for the American Cancer Society / Relay for Life . Because of the pandemic , our community is currently connecting in different ways to save lives . While Relay for Life events might look different right now , the passion for saving lives , celebrating lives , and leading the fight for a world without cancer is unchanged .
