I Am These Truths is a beautiful story of resilience , hard work , identity , race , and using the complex parts of life to propel you forward . Many relevant issues were discussed that were relatable , encouraging , and inspiring , such as colorism and conforming to change her name . Additionally , we facilitated a dialogue about her professional journey and familial challenges . As well as heard her journey and passion for the work she does .
Tau Delta Omega Holds Juneteenth Celebration
Chester , PA – Tau Delta Omega Chapter celebrated Juneteenth , Freedom Day , with a voter registration campaign to reach new voters in the community . We celebrated knowing that our work was not done . Tau Delta Omega helped remind our community members of the importance of voting and protecting our rights . Tau Delta Omega was acknowledged in the Community Action Agency magazine for our Martin Luther King , Jr . Impact Day donation to the Wesley House Emergency Shelter . We were grateful to find an opportunity to provide service for those in need . Guest presenters , Baldwin Collaborations LLC , in collaboration with chapter sorors , sponsored " paycheck protection ." This was a free virtual community information session designed to inform entrepreneurs , businesses , nonprofits , and faith-based organizations .
Epsilon Sigma Omega Partners to Empower Women
Harrisburg , PA – Epsilon Sigma Omega Chapter joined forces with the Empowering Women for Success Project at Catholic Charities Immigration and Refugee Services to host a Global Impact Drive during Period Poverty Awareness Week . The Catholic Charites Diocese of Harrisburg is devoted to offering help , hope , and support to thousands of individuals and families in 15 Central Pennsylvania counties , regardless of their faith . Our goal was to assist women and girls experiencing period poverty so that no one misses school or work without having access to period supplies . Donation boxes were placed throughout Central Pennsylvania . With the combined support of our partner and assistance from the community , we exceeded our goal , collecting 5,246 feminine hygiene products , including sanitary products , pads , wipes , over-the-counter pain relief products , new underwear , and close to $ 200 in cash . The drive collaborated between the Target 3 : Committee ( AKA Operation Assist ) and the Target 5 : Global Impact Committee .

Langhorne , PA – Omega Zeta Omega Chapter is proud to promote high academic standards and support community youth educational programs . We appreciate our continued partnerships with the Bucks County School District as we work with students through our signature # CAP SM and scholarship programs . Our chapter President , Soror Julie C . Moore , Scholarship Chairman Jeanine Stewart , and the scholarship committee awarded a total of $ 10,000 to 5 Bucks County community students during

our first annual scholarship award ceremony . Our Soror Felicia Ganther , president of Bucks County Community College , served as the keynote speaker . The Healthcare Essential Worker scholarship is awarded to African American students whose parent / guardians are essential front / line workers and live / work in Bucks County , PA , or the student plans to pursue a career as a first responder , healthcare provider , or essential service worker attending an accredited 4-year college or university . The Healthcare Essential Worker Scholarship recipients are Caleb Bunch - Pennsbury High School attending Emory University ; Pearl Diabene - School Lane Charter School attending Drexel University ; Idalis Walker- Descartes - The George School attending the University of Delaware . The HBCU Scholarship is awarded to African American students who plan on attending an HBCU and reside / attend school in Bucks County . The HBCU Scholarship recipients are Gabrielle Whitaker - The George School attending Bethune-Cookman University ; Jasmine Woods - Central Bucks South attending Howard University .
Omega Omega Hosts District Attorney Candidates ' Forum
Philadelphia , PA – Omega Omega Chapter Connection Committee hosted a Philadelphia District Attorney Candidates ' Forum webinar . The event was to provide voters in the City of Philadelphia with information to make an informed decision and to select the candidate who best represented their interest . The co-sponsors for the event were The Black Women ' s Leadership Council , the National Pan-Hellenic Council of South Eastern Pennsylvania , Vine Memorial Baptist Church , and Omega Omega Chapter . Tamala Edwards , ABC News anchor , moderated the forum and is a sorority member . In addition , the following media covered the event : Philadelphia Inquirer newspaper , Philadelphia Tribune , WHYY-FM and radio , Channel 10 WCAU News , and West Philly Local . The Zoom webinar was free and open to the public , but registration was required . The forum was well attended , with over 1800 views and 100 Zoom link participants . The panelist may still be viewed on the chapter ' s Facebook live page . Soror Carlene Neal , Chairman of the committee , stated there were many positive comments to the reaction of the three candidates , District Attorney Larry Krasner ,
