duction and facilitate more efficient recycling. With increasingly stringent European regulations expected for food packaging, greater emphasis will be placed on the use of recycled materials. For this reason, BMB has already developed highly wear-resistant screws, barrels and nozzle tips capable of processing recycled polymers. Future legislation is expected to classify recycled materials according to different quality grades and require mechanical separation of labels from packaging, rewarding processors that maximise material efficiency while ensuring high recyclability. BMB has been actively working in all these areas and positions itself as the ideal technology partner to help customers comply with future |
regulations while maintaining both production efficiency and profitability.
THE EKW48HP / 2200WP HYBRID PRESS The eKW48HP / 2200WP Hybrid is BMB‘ s flagship machine for thin-wall packaging applications. Thanks to its lightweight injection piston design, it achieves an injection speed of up to 1,500 mm / s, allowing maximum acceleration within an extremely short time and ensuring highly accurate positioning at the end of the injection stroke. Acceleration and deceleration profiles are exceptionally high and precisely controlled by the CNC system. The moving platen runs on oversized linear guides mounted in an elevated position on the
|
machine base, allowing the guides to be positioned closer to the platen centreline. The reduced distance between the machine axis and the self-lubricating recirculating ball guides virtually eliminates vibration while ensuring outstanding platen parallelism. As with every BMB machine, the patented central-force clamping system provides an additional guarantee of perfect platen parallelism while virtually eliminating bending effects, even when processing very heavy moulds or stack mould configurations. All mechanical components are manufactured in-house with particular attention dedicated to the HP series, featuring reinforced fixed and moving platens designed for maximum rigidity.
