MATERIALS AND APPLICATIONS
Also in this case , accelerated aging tests were performed - involving 3,000 hours of contact with deionised water at 60 ° C - on materials specifically developed for the production of components destined for these applications , so as to guarantee perfect operation and mechanical properties over time .
the requirements of the food and beverage industry . In addition to this , RadiciGroup can provide specific solutions for every need , using the most suitable material for each individual process : PP , PBT or PA as a substrate and single or multi-layer filtration systems , available in a wide range of pore sizes .
HEATING SYSTEMS The task of heating systems is to provide heat to buildings . They include heat pumps and gas or electricity powered boilers . Systems that manage hot water are often called hydronic systems and can be integrated with solar thermal or geothermal equipment . Nowadays , many buildings are heated by means of hydronic radiant floor heating systems where hot water circulates through pipes and manifolds made of engineering polymers . Chemical additives also circulate mixed with the hot water in order to ensure optimal performance . In particular , it is important that the polymers used can withstand anti-freezing agents . In this context , with regard to materials , a contact test was carried out on Radilon with a solution of 50 % ethylene glycol and 50 % water for 1,000 hours at a temperature of 120 ° C and a pressure of 1.5 bar . Tensile strength retention was also measured . When added with appropriate sta-
SUSTAINABLE STRATEGIES RadiciGroup has been committed to balancing the different aspects of sustainability , in the belief that by harmonising economic , social and environmental aspects it is possible to create a virtuous circle capable of both improving corporate performance and contributing to a better future for our planet and its inhabitants . In fact , RadiciGroup adheres to Agenda 2030 , shares its objectives and contributes to their achievement .
SOCIAL SUSTAINABILITY Teaming up to achieve shared goals together . This principle has characterised the relationships between RadiciGroup and its employees . Social sustainability means , first of all , ensuring the stability of working relationships by entering collective and permanent agreements with over 90 % of its 3,000 employees . It also means respect for human rights in every country in the world . In addition to this , the company has put robust health and safety protection policies in place based on management systems capable of effectively monitoring and mitigating risks . In addition , the company promotes the growth of employees ’ skills through training courses . This responsibility is also expressed in terms of indirect employment and activities and the support of local communities that are often disadvantaged due to geographic position and lack of infrastructure .
It is essential that the materials used in heating systems are able to withstand chemical additives such as antifreezing agents

INVESTING IN SUSTAINABILITY RadiciGroup is a family business that pursues medium-long term profitability goals that are fully aligned with Agenda 2030 . Every year , the Group plans investments in sustainability .
bilising agents , materials such as Radilon A , Radilon DT and Radilon Aestus T1 , are able to fully meet the application requirements .
WATER TREATMENT VIA FILTRATION The growing demand for drinking water free from any contaminants has led to a sharp increase in the application of engineering polymers in filtration and treatment systems . This fast-growing market - driven by the need to eliminate unpleasant taste and odour as well as limescale particles - requires increasingly high-performance materials . RadiciGroup is perfectly equipped to meet these needs with an extensive integrated solution for this specific application segment which can include nonwoven fabrics suitable for water treatment systems . This solution is Radimelt , which has been also designed to meet all
PRODUCTION PROCESSES The environmental protection strategy of Radici- Group specifically focuses on the issues of climate change and decarbonisation : an approach that involves the reduction of emissions , the use of a significant percentage of electricity originated from renewable sources and the ambition to increasingly implement circular processes and products through ecodesign , recycling and durability . This approach is supported by specific investments , aimed at providing customer companies with the best technologies available with a view to reducing the carbon and water footprint , as well as the generation of waste .
PRODUCTS The products delivered by RadiciGroup are mostly recyclable . Many are also made of industrial and

post-consumer recycled materials , thus reducing the use of virgin resins and giving new life to waste . All of them are designed to be durable , a choice made with the aim to protect resources and keep the value of materials as long as possible and guarantee their durability . Some products are bio-based , i . e . formulated in whole or in part with natural raw materials and vegetable waste , avoiding any conflict with food crops . The environmental performance of products is always measured with scientific methods in order to guarantee the consistency of production policies and accountability towards the market .
