Meccanoplastica is increasingly focusing on injection blow moulding , once almost a niche sector for this Florentine group : “ This year marked a turning point , with a strongly growing demand from large companies ” says marketing manager Alberto Mencherini . “ We currently have a machine being tested for Brazil and another four under construction , as well as installations planned shortly in Italy , France and South America . Other orders will be fulfilled in 2023 . Our new 4-station full electric machine perfectly covers applications for high-end cosmetics , such as the entire mascara and lip gloss container and packaging market that uses quite hard resins such as PET and PETG or even nylon itself , and can require transparency , or in any case packaging made of other materials than polyolefins . “ The fourth station provides for injecting the preform , blow moulding and removing the final product , cooling the core where the injected preform is inserted , as a result avoiding that cycle after cycle , the core itself heats up and the resin tends to shrink , losing the absolute quality - also in terms of environmental protection - required by the strict specifications set forth by large multinational clients which also demand the addition of second-life resins even before 2030 , when these resins will be the only ones allowed . The 3-station solution guarantees advantages in the field of packaging and especially polyolefin applications as well as in the production of small polyethylene or polypropylene containers for pharmaceuticals with capacities up to 300 ml .
