Over the years , the construction of machinery and equipment dedicated to injection blow moulding has been combined with the traditional specialisation in the extrusion blow moulding sector , allowing Meccanoplastica to record more orders globally . The Florentine company , founded in 1983 and based in Campi Bisenzio , can be now considered a real group also including Meccanoplastica Iberica , a branch in Barcelona , Spain , specialising in stretch-blow moulding of PET preforms . Between market ups and downs , the operations of the three divisions are consolidated , explains sales & marketing manager Alberto Mencherini : „ We are celebrating 40 years in the sector . Today we have consolidated our market shares , winning new customers all over the world , with France and Poland giving us particular satisfaction in Europe . This is despite the fact that the sector is recording a general slowdown , evident in Italy due to the cutting of Industry 4.0 incentives in addition to the wellknown problems created by inflation , increased costs and so on .
Fortunately , the supplies of raw materials and electronic components seems to be slowly returning to normal , even though all this will result in a tangible improvement in delivery times only from 2024 . To be able to hold up in this complicated period , there are three hot issues that need to be addressed : market trends , costs and profit margins , sustainability .“ The Group ‘ s advantage is that it we hired difficult to find experienced and specialised figures at managerial , technical and commercial level , and this goes well for the Group : „ For example , on the one hand we have strengthened the purchasing office with junior and senior figures alongside , while on the other we are developing the electronic side of our machines . In addition , at the sales and installation level we have hired professionals who are making the difference . It must be said that customers know the current problems and , for example , are willing to meet us halfway when it is necessary to adjust a quotation due to the volatility of raw material prices .“ www . plastmagazine . it
