gleaned from proper keyword research.
There are many tools available for you to do keyword research that are both free and paid. One of the free and most popular right now is the Google Adwords Keyword Tool found at: https:// adwords. google. com / select / KeywordToolExternal
With this tool, you type in a set of keywords and it returns search numbers and competition for not only the terms you type in, but additional suggested terms as well. You can get larger numbers returned if you create or have an account, which is free.
As far as paid tools go, the three main ones I’ ve used are WordTracker. com, KeywordDiscovery. com, and NicheBot. com. Let’ s take a closer look at each one:
• WordTracker has its own database and keeps information for three months. This is good for checking the latest trends and finding out current search data. But if you are looking for historical data, such as Christmas terms for a Christmas based niche site, then WordTracker might not be your best bet.
• Keyword Discovery on the other hand keeps information for a much longer period, and would be the best choice in this situation. However, Keyword Discovery is considerably more expensive than WordTracker.
• NicheBot is a keyword research tool that taps into the APIs of quite a few of the existing keyword research sources( an API is an application programming interface, meaning that it“ talks to” and pulls data from different keyword information sources, such as WordTracker, Google, Yahoo, etc. through agreements and contracts with them, so you can benefit from pulling data from different sources).
