Partnership leads to innovative healthcare solution

Introducing CliniCabin , an innovative podstyle clinical unit created with the support of steel installation specialist TekBuild to provide an affordable healthcare solution . Paul Hutchinson ’ s TekBuild has wrapped the pods in a specifically designed lightweight steel frame .

CliniCabin , an idea born on Teesside itself , has been striving to rehabilitate healthcare and diagnostics in the wake of the pandemic ever since the first national lockdown in 2020 .
Peter Adams , director of CliniCabin , said : “ At the height of the pandemic , the NHS faced a tidal wave of backlogs , exacerbated by the cessation of respiratory tests such as spirometry , which are essential in diagnosing conditions such as asthma and COPD .
“ The team behind CliniCabin were passionate about coming up with a solution that not only remedied the issues faced by the NHS , but was able to increase the efficiency of diagnostics beyond Covid-19 . So working closely with the team at Tekbuild , CliniCabin was born .”
CliniCabin implements a high-speed mechanical ventilation system alongside additional clinical technology to create a safe environment for patients and clinicians alike .
Built off-site at its Teesside-based warehouse , CliniCabin is delivered to medical sites fully constructed and ready to use .

Teesside flights help TekBuild take off

Paul Hutchinson ’ s blossoming TekBuild has felt the benefits of flights from Teesside Airport after taking on one of its biggest jobs to date .

TekBuild is helping to build the Baird Family Hospital and the Anchor Centre Project in Aberdeen .
The £ 233.2m development at the Foresterhill Health Campus will support and enhance the provision of clinical care in the area .
Both buildings will include state-ofthe-art research and teaching facilities .
Tekbuild ’ s growing reputation is securing work further afield and during uncertain times . With Covid-19 still widespread , Tekbuild ’ s work wasn ’ t affected due to the regular flight schedules from Teesside Airport , ensuring staff were safe at all times while travelling .
Paul , who founded TekBuild in 2017 , said : “ There is no hiding from the fact that we are being assisted during our biggest project to date because we could connect with places like Aberdeen by having the local flights available from Teesside .
“ It ’ s fantastic for the area and hopefully those flights will continue to reach out to other areas of the country and beyond to further assist us and surrounding companies .”
