Towards Modeling and Checking the Spatial and Interaction Behavior of Widely Distributed Systems Jan Blech Research Fellow Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology

In this paper, we present work and ideas towards a framework for modelling and checking behaviour of spatially distributed component systems. Components can communicate and interact with each other and show external spatial and communication behaviour. For example, a car driving on a road and communicating with other cars can be modelled as a component. Our framework aims at checking of behavioural properties like collision detection using verification tools. We present examples related to cyberphysical systems as a motivation for our work.
