Strong member and staff communication
The most positive is that our team is still getting paid by our parent company however they are
evaluating pay period by pay period. Currently up until 5/1 so we have been very fortunate.
There will be more need for our services than ever post epidemic
Through whatsup we are constantly communicating with a positive tone of messages, update news
and some funs.
Trying to be strong, steady and hopefull. One day at a time. Handle what is in front of us, and
anticipate change. Don't bemoan what was. We will embrace what we have and figure out a way to
reinvent.
Trying to keep employees up to date and positive
Video team meetings, calling every employee to see how they are doing. Sharing funny stories with
employees and colleagues.

Virtual happy hours weekly
We are consistently communicating to staff via zoom and texts. We are communicating at home
treatment ideas and home well being ideas via email
We are doing employee meals for the employee and up to 4 more family members daily. We also
have a private facebook page that we have been updating them on job postings, etc but also adding
fun things.
We are doing online classes - yoga, meditation, mindfulness. In each of these classes, we are
working on maintaining connection, staying forward looking, and helping everyone feel healthy and
happy.
We are doing wellness activities and educational content for all of our colleagues on a daily basis.
We are fortunate that our team is being paid something (commission not so much!) during this time.
I personally contact each team member weekly to see how they are doing. I continuously send
updated information to my team via email. We have conference call meetings.
We check in with the team weekly.
We do a weekly call with our spa directors to discuss challenges, answer questions and keep a
strong sense of community.
We have been doing Zoom meetings and sending personal messages to each staff member and
encouraging lots of sharing on our team social media pages
We have been sending weekly updates to our hotel/spa team to keep everyone up to date on how
our hotel is doing (it is still open but very quiet) and any new company updates regarding reopening,
etc. We have also been advising them of any new initiatives we are putting in place for reopening or
currently doing ie retail orders for our customers, etc. so they know we are remaining positive and
working towards our reopening goals.
We have group chats to stay connected and share tips. We are offering virtual fitness classes which
allows for our members and instructors to stay connected.
We have one of greatest oportunity to change all our focuse to Wellness and Health during and after
a Great Pause
