Prima Power boosts bending investments

On 18 July 2025, Prima Power inaugurated the new expansion of its Cologna Veneta( VR) plant in Italy, its centre of excellence for sheetmetal bending solutions. This event marked a major milestone in the development of the site and the strengthening of its strategic importance in the Group’ s industrial plan.
With 2,500 square metres of additional space, production capacity has been increased by 50 % supporting the strong growth of the bending sector. In line with Prima Power’ s commitment to sustainability, the new building is equipped with a 150kW photovoltaic system, significantly reducing the plant’ s energy footprint. A new 1,000 square-metre service building houses an Academy Hall for training, additional offices, a modern canteen and new changing rooms, improving the quality of the working environment and enhancing existing spaces.
The Cologna Veneta plant manufactures the entire range of Prima Power bending solutions, covering all levels of automation and integration from stand-alone pressbrakes to robotic bending cells and fully automatic panel benders. All of these can be

“ All our machines are based on servoelectric technology, a hallmark of our sustainable innovation and ensuring precision, efficiency and energy savings. This philosophy is embodied in the concept‘ Green Means’, which represents the company’ s tangible and integrated commitment to creating high-tech, environmentally conscious manufacturing solutions that generate real economic benefits for businesses,” Prima Power explained.
“ This project not only responds to growing market demand for advanced bending solutions but also reflects our recent acquisition of Sistec AM, a robotics specialist that has strengthened our Group’ s expertise in robotics integration( a strategic area for bending). This synergy of expertise, technologies and people contributes to making Cologna Veneta an‘ all-in-one’ bending hub where modular, scalable and automated solutions come together to support customer growth,” it added.
The expansion of the Cologna Veneta production site completes the global renewal and modernisation plan for Prima Power’ s Product Units— Collegno( Italy), Seinäjoki( Finland), Minneapolis( USA) and Suzhou( China)— all designed to be more efficient, sustainable and technologically advanced.
Prima Power’ s range of technologies includes 2D and 3D laser machines for cutting, welding and drilling; punching machines; combined punch-laser and punch-shear systems; press brakes; panelbenders; robotic bending cells and flexible manufacturing systems. n

EuroBLECH 2026 builds up momentum

EuroBLECH 2026, the 28th edition of the leading global sheet metalworking technologies exhibition, will take place in Hanover, Germany, from 20-23 October 2026.
“ For the first time, at-event rebooking has been introduced which enables exhibitors to secure their stand space for 2026 while still at the 2024 show. As a result, a substantial portion of space has already been allocated across the nine halls of the Hanover Exhibition Grounds,” the show organiser, RX, explained.
“ The enthusiasm we saw from exhibitors rebooking at EuroBLECH 2024 was a strong signal of confidence in the event,” said Evelyn Warwick, Exhibition Director for EuroBLECH on behalf of RX.“ While the broader market remains challenging, EuroBLECH remains the most important global platform for showcasing sheet metal innovation. With new features launching and continued demand for cuttingedge, sustainable, digitalised and AI-enabled solutions, the event is evolving alongside the industry itself," she added.
This year’ s theme( For a Stronger Future – Smart & Sustainable Production) reflects the industry ' s ongoing transformation as it pursues greater efficiency, flexibility and resilience. From AI-enabled workflows and robotics to laser innovations and circular manufacturing, the 2026 trade show will spotlight the
technologies, tools and strategies shaping a stronger, more sustainable future for sheetmetalworking worldwide.
EuroBLECH 2026 introduces several new and enhanced features to deepen engagement and support more targeted business opportunities. These include a new Innovation Zone, a dedicated space that will spotlight emerging technologies, applied research and system-ready concepts that are shaping the future of sheet metal working. New automotive guided tours will help automotive OEMs connect with relevant technologies and suppliers. These complement the returning Guided Tours, which support focused visitor journeys. A new Job Shop & Subcontractors Market will be a dedicated space for fabrication centres and subcontracting manufacturers to connect with visitors from OEMs and other manufacturing sectors.
“ The NextGen Technology Stage( previously known as the Innovation Stage), will once again host expert-led sessions on automation, digitalisation, sustainability and AI. The EuroBLECH Awards will return with six categories celebrating standout achievements, with Award Trails guiding visitors to shortlisted exhibitors,” added the show organiser.
The upgraded visitor app will help visitors to navigate the show, bookmark exhibitors and plan their day more effectively. The Careers Day will also return; a dedicated day to connect students, apprentices and young professionals with hiring businesses.
“ Companies looking to exhibit at EuroBLECH 2026 can now explore stand options and packages, including the popular myEuroBLECH Easy Package and the First- Time Exhibitor Package for newcomers to the show,” concluded RX.
EuroBLECH 2024 welcomed 1,317 exhibitors and 38,946 trade visitors from 114 countries, occupying a gross exhibition space of 160,000 square metres. n
