The flippable gripping device is equipped with suction cups on both sides used to pick the finished part from the worktable of the panel bender and, in masked time, replace it with a new part to be bent. At Blechexpo, Salvagnini will use an industrial tablet to control the robot( in place of the classic pendant).
“ The panel bending program is done with STREAMBEND and can be used without the need for changes on the P-Robot or the standard robot-less panel benders. At Blechexpo, we will present the new HMI, available on all Generation 4 P-Robots. This new interactive human-machine interface supports operators in their daily tasks and reduces the time required for interaction. It offers the operator an immersive experience, interacting with dynamic three-dimensional environments,” confirmed Salvagnini.
The P-Robot in the spotlight at Stuttgart will be equipped with the RVS( Robot Vision System) option, a patented 3D artificial vision system. With the introduction of RVS, P-Robot can produce in Single Piece, Joblist or Autorun mode. At Blechexpo, Salvagnini will introduce a new Quality Module, which adds new functions to the RVS.
The P-Robot on display in Stuttgart will integrate a P2 panel bender( size 1620) equipped with a new, better performing and modern proprietary control to simplify the machine architecture and improve performance. It can bend 3.2mm thick sheet metal up to 1600mm long and 203mm high.
P2 is designed to combine productivity, with its automatic bending and handling cycles, with an average of 17 bends per minute and universal bending tools. It doesn’ t need re-tooling, because the upper and lower blades, the counterblade and the blankholder are universal tools that can process a range of thicknesses and machinable materials. produced in-cycle. In Stuttgart, Salvagnini will be announcing the further extension of the P2 range, and the new 3020 size( reaching a maximum bending length of 3000mm).
B3. AU- TO. G4 press brake
Automatic set-up and tool change are the two most obvious features of the B3. AU- TO press brake. It is designed to combine the features and benefits of electric and hydraulic solutions commonly available on the market. The AU-TO automatic tool change unit and the ATA automatic tool adjuster, which adjusts the length of the stations, are designed to reduce press brake re-tooling, increase autonomy and productivity, and also reduce lead time.

of four metres and force of 170, 240 or 320 tons. The Salvagnini-patented upper and lower automatic tool change unit can contain up to 24 metres of tools( of up to 1000mm in length without segmentation).
“ Full flexibility is assured, because the press brake allows mixed tooling. After the automatic tool change and set-up, the B3. AU-TO allows the manual integration of standard WILA tools or special tools, such as hemming tools, on the bend line,” Salvagnini told ISMR.“ At Blechexpo, we will present the new version, AU-TO. G4, designed to improves performance, eliminate errors and reduce set-up times by up to 30 %, compared to the [ previous variant ]. We will apply a new technology for identifying the tools in the press brake, through which the upper and lower locks automatically recognize each punch and die segment. In this way, the press brake recognizes the features of each tool on the bending line in real time, confirming the correct position without requiring any manual intervention by the operator,” confirmed Salvagnini.
B3 press brakes use integrated adaptive technologies that make the system intelligent, eliminate scrap and part correction, and expand the range of products which can be produced. The AMS laser system detects variations in the bending angle due to sheet metal springback. Angle measurement can be performed in a single point, regardless of the length of the press brake, for shorter cycles. It enables both measurement recording and active monitoring for greater productivity. TFC2.0 is the closed-chain control carried out by smart sensors embedded in the pressbrake structure. S-Crowning is a mechanical crowning system for consistent bending along the entire bending length, even if the parameters change, without operator intervention.
Advanced programming and service
STREAM is a programming suite and the integrated environment for managing all activities in the office and on the shop floor; it constitutes a single point of access for all technologies, from cutting to bending; it has been designed to meet all planning, programming, production, management, control and optimisation needs throughout the production process. Working with OPS, STREAM is used to seamlessly program the various technologies required to produce a part.
Among the new features presented at Blechexpo, Salvagnini will also introduce integrated static nesting management in STREAM. Static nesting is used to perfect the position of the part on the sheet metal, assuring greater process reliability, and archives the optimised nesting in PARTS. On instruction from the programmer, STREAM automatically organises a job list, exploiting the static nesting available in the parts library, to the full.
At Blechexpo, Salvagnini will also be presenting a modular range developed on three levels of service – ACT, PLAN and GROW. The three levels are designed to manage different needs. n
