EWM at SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2025
At SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN in Essen, Germany( 15-19 September 2025), EWM will be demonstrating what modern welding technology can achieve today. The company will be presenting solutions for automated and manual welding on stand E29 in Hall 5, with a focus on process reliability, digitalisation and resource efficiency.
For example, EWM will be presenting modular automation concepts that are based on standard components and can be individually adapted( from submerged arcwelding to the EWM React welding process). As a highlight, live welding via cobot will also be on show for the first time, said EWM.
“ Our solutions enable consistently high seam quality, minimise set-up times and can also be used economically for small and very small batches. Customers are supported throughout, from the initial consultation and concept development through to initial sample welding and commissioning. In addition to the existing portfolio, we will be presenting a further developed solution for manual TIG welding for the first time at the trade fair, with a clear focus on increased energy efficiency and resource-saving operation,” confirmed the welding specialist.
Another key topic on EWM’ s stand will be digitalisation, including the further developed Welding 4.0 welding management system, ewm Xnet. It supports the digital control and evaluation of all welding processes and provides relevant production and consumption data in real time. This data can be tracked, centrally managed and documented. In addition, ewm Xnet enables continuous quality monitoring by automatically recording welding parameters and comparing them with the specifications. This allows deviations to be detected at an early stage and documentation requirements to be met in accordance with standards.
The welding technology specialist will also be providing information at the exhibition on its measures for more sustainable and resourcesaving welding. With its BlueEvolution ® sustainability initiative, EWM combines ecological responsibility with technical performance.
“ The use of modern inverter technology reduces energy requirements, cuts material consumption and reduces emissions. Processes such as forceArc ®, coldArc ® or EWM React also help to minimise welding fumes, rework and heat input. Thanks to digital gas control, up to 25 % shielding gas can also be saved,” concluded EWM. n

Handling flat goods with complex contours
AERO-LIFT Vakuumtechnik GmbH has extended its tried-and-tested FORCE-LIFT | 2 tube lifter with an area gripper and an all-electric swivelling unit. This, it said, is for“ particularly flexible and safe handling of flat goods with complex contours.”
“ The FORCE-LIFT | 2 is already established as a robust vacuum tube lifter for industrial use. AERO-LIFT now offers a significant further development: the integration of a VUSS surface gripper, which enables the reliable lifting of workpieces with cutouts or interrupted surface structures. This requirement frequently arises in woodworking and furniture construction processes in particular,” it explained.
“ The second key innovation is the newly developed all-electric swivelling unit. In contrast to conventional pneumatic systems, this system swivels smoothly, starting and stopping without jerking. The swivelling movement can be infinitely finely adjusted, stopped in any position and limited to a defined position. This maximises control, precision and material protection without compressed air and with low-maintenance electric motors,” it added.
One particular application is for the feeding of panels( dividing saws and vertical saws). The new FORCE-LIFT 2 combination offers significant benefits, said the manufacturer, particularly where panel material is fed and processed upright( for example when edging, trimming or coating). The panels can be removed directly from the pallet and positioned vertically in the processing station for a smooth material flow.
Like the basic version of the FORCE-LIFT | 2, the new configuration also offers userfriendly ergonomics.
“ Bulky or heavy goods weighing up to 200kg can be handled by just one person with the AERO-LIFT handling solution,” concluded the manufacturer. n
