ISMR : Which issues are of prime importance for your customers ? How are you addressing these issues for them ?
GW : Process automation and process integration have gained new relevance due to the current skilled manpower shortage issue . Companies that are heavily dependent upon manual processes have been affected the most . They have realised the importance of reducing their dependency on manual processes and have now begun to automate and integrate these processes .
We , as a company , have delivered several projects that have removed the dependency of manual processes / operations and automated these . This has benefited customers by reducing their dependency on people while ensuring the higher productivity , consistency and reliability of processes . We are all familiar with the earlier misconception that automation would replace human workers . This is not entirely true , but automation is now able to save and even create better quality jobs after re-skilling people .
Customers are also focused on cheaper
and faster manufacturing . Our new servo machines can deliver high production speeds , coupled with accuracy , Today ’ s market calls for ever-smaller runs and shorter delivery times , especially in the e-Mobility space where we see the number of EVs gradually increasing .
Our new servo-driven machines are the answer to those market requirements . The modular nature of these machines enabled us to configure them to specific “ special requirements ” that the customer may have ( e . g . larger and higher-tonnage presses with more space for stamping ). We can custom build to customers ’ requirements .
Key benefits of the servo technology are faster set-up times ; lower tooling costs and suitability for small-batch production and prototyping . They can also be easily set up in linear or radial configuration .
