In its centennial year , the German high-tech TRUMPF Group generated considerable revenue growth . Based on preliminary calculations , revenue in the fiscal year 2022 / 23 ( balance sheet date 30 June 2023 ) came in at 5.4 billion euros ( fiscal year 2021 / 22 : 4.2 billion euros ).
TRUMPF was founded in 1923 in Germany as a mechanical workshop and has since developed into one of the world ’ s leading companies for machine tools , laser technology and electronics for industrial applications . It is a specialist in various sheet-metal technologies . With more than 90 subsidiaries , the group is represented in nearly every European country , in North and South America and in Asia . Production facilities are located in Germany ; France ; Great Britain ; Italy ; Austria and Switzerland ; Poland ; the Czech Republic ; USA ; Mexico and China .

TRUMPF is starting the new fiscal year with a bulging order book : order intake once again surpassed the five-billion-euro mark at 5.1 billion euros but was down by some nine per cent on the peak level of the previous year ( fiscal year 2021 / 22 : 5.6 billion euros ).

Nevertheless , we have been witnessing a decline in orders in recent months due to the global economic slowdown . As such , we are entering the new fiscal year with due caution in spite of a solid order book .”
The Group ’ s headcount has now risen to around 17,900 , including some 8,800 employees in Germany as of 30 / 6 / 2023 , approximately 5,800 of whom work at the company ’ s headquarters in Ditzingen .
