Cutting and bending technologies in focus
Ermaksan, a Turkish specialist in sheet metalworking technologies, presented its latest innovations at the 17th Blechexpo trade show in Stuttgart, Germany, from 21-24 October 2025. Its sheet metal cutting and bending technologies on display focused on productivity, cost efficiency and sustainability.
With a 3x1.5m shuttle table, its FIBERMAK THUNDERBIRD supports continuous lasercutting operation. The system has been simplified by removing the lifting and hydraulic units: instead, it features a longer Z-axis for, according to Ermaksan,“ a robust structure, easier maintenance and greater reliability over time.”
Also on display was its FIBERTUBE – ECO, a versatile tube and profile fibre laser cutting machine offering both semi-automatic and manual operation options. It can process round, square and rectangular tubes with diameters of up to 200 x 6500mm. The machine is designed to handle tubes and profiles weighing up to 960kg, with a loading length of 6000mm and a maximum unloading length of 4500mm.

“ This seated, user-friendly press brake version was first unveiled at the LAMIERA exhibition in May 2025. It features a servodriven ball screw mechanism which means a lower maintenance requirement; lower energy consumption; less carbon impact on the environment and less noise for the operator and working area. Available in a variety of bending capacities and sizes, the BSCRW enhances production flexibility while minimizing energy consumption and operational costs,” Ersin Yildiz, Sales Manager, Europe and India, Ermaksan, told ISMR.

Other bending models on Ermaksan’ s stand at Blechexpo 2025 in Stuttgart included the GREEN PRESS FX SERVO, an energyefficient, servo-electric press brake. The award-winning EVO III hybrid press brake( with closed-loop hydraulic system, a bending length of 4.1m and a capacity of up to 260 tons) was also showcased. Corrosion prevention in manufacturing
The shop floor and assembly line can be vulnerable places for in-process metal goods. Freshly machined metal is a magnet for flash corrosion— when going in and out of air-conditioned QC areas or enduring hot, humid days in parts of the shop that are not climate-controlled. Often, workers apply rust preventatives to unfinished parts for interim protection, only to remove oils and greases with a harsh chemical cleaner before the next stage of finishing is done.

When the enclosure is opened, VpCI ® molecules begin to float away, typically requiring no further cleaning before the component can be used.
