Bystronic at Blechexpo 2025
Swiss sheet metal specialist, Bystronic, presented new features in bending, laser automation, bending automation, end-toend software and a new customer portal at Blechexpo 2025 in Stuttgart, Germany, this October. As a full solutions provider, the company offers advanced flat and tube lasercutting systems, press brakes and intelligent automation solutions supported by global services and software. At Blechexpo 2025, it focused on the automation and digitalisation of sheet metal processing.
Laser cutting and automation
“ We showcased the ByCut 3015 fibre lasercutter with ByTrans Extended. Customers will win more orders thanks to improved part quality: less reworking, lower process costs, greater process reliability and continuous production thanks to automation,” outlined Bystronic.
ByCut Star 3015 / 4020 offers 30 kilowatts of power and an optimised cutting process( with smart functions such as‘ Intelligent Cutting Process( ICP)’,‘ Nozzle Control Tool( NCT) with KerfScan’ and the‘ Parameter Wizard’). The new design offers better accessibility to the interior; there is now front and / or side access as well as several windows with a direct view of the cutting process.
Tube processing innovation
Bystronic also displayed the ByTube Star 130 at Blechexpo 2025, now with 4 kilowatts of laser power and featuring fully automatic set-up. Other features include Quick Cut( an additional linear axis of the cutting head) and Laserscan( real-time compensation of tube bending to help improve cutting precision). The BySoft Cell Control Tube user interface brings all functions relating to laser cutting of tubes to one touchscreen.

Bending and automation
The ByCell Bend Star M, Xpert Pro and Mobile Bending Cell were also on Bystronic’ s stand, with a range of new features.
“ The ByCell Bend Star M uses BySoft
CAM Bend Robot for programming and handling the machine. The software enables even less experienced operators to program the machine quickly and easily in just a few minutes. Thanks to intelligent RFID technology, automatic tool and gripper changing has never been easier. In addition, the laser angle measuring system( LAMS) guarantees high quality from the very first part, automated and optimised to a user’ s needs. The modularity of the system with the most flexible layout means that the bending automation adapts to a customer’ s production needs,” explained Bystronic.
Bystronic has also expanded its ByBend Star press brake for the Mobile Bending Cell. This results in compact solutions for quickly switching between manual and automated bending. Users can bend complex parts and small batches manually on the press brake. For large batches, automation takes over the bending orders. The combination of a fast press brake with mobile robotics makes it possible to do both.
The Xpert Pro is a high-end press brake with three performance options: Classic Edition, Performance Edition and Dynamic Edition. It features dynamic crowning, patented pressure reference technology and intelligent assistance functions.
Software and services
With Bystronic’ s BySoft Suite, sheet metal processing companies can digitise their business in metal processing from quotation to delivery of the final product.
Bystronic has also launched a new customer portal,“ myBystronic”, as a central, digital service hub for all matters relating to Bystronic products for customers.
