BUT FIRST, LET ME GET A PHOTO
Peter Tooby and David O’Brien ran into some trouble on SS02 when they slowly rolled onto their side during the point to point
navigation stage. Both the Peter and David were fine and managed to self recover, after taking a photo of course.

RUN
SS02 was to be a relatively simple point to point
navigation stage travelling near Roses Beach and
heading towards Chips Pit (the start of SS03).
All was not simple though as all teams DNF‘d the
second stage of the event.
Peter Tooby and navi, David O‘Brien (car #06) even
put their car on it‘s side in the dunes but luckily
managed to self recover.
Dave Bantick (car #12) continued to have bad
luck at the Ironman 4x4 Adventure Challenge
as his third attempt to compelte the event was
diminished when his wiring harness caught fire.
Dave was towed back to town by local fisherman
and he plans to return in 2015 for another crack at
the toughest event in Australia.

“There was no damage, just a retard
moment reversing.
I can’t see anything with window nets
and the mirror half broken plowing trees.

I was simply just reversing with limited
vision and in too much of a hurry.”
