ll three are multitalented--Sebastian plays Guitar, Bass and the
Drums, Mike plays the Violin and Bass and Miguel plays the
Guitar and Drums. You generally won't nd them playing the
local music scene here, for through hard work and
determination—coupled with marketable talent--those days are
gone. If they do play in their hometown, they are opening for
national acts and or on tour with the INK LIFE TOUR with bands
such as BUCKCHERRY, MUSHROOMHEAD, 3 DAYS GRACE,
CRAZYTOWN and HOOBASTANK. Inuences are LINKIN PARK, MUSE and THE
RACONTEURS, just to name a few.
Last November, they did a West Coast tour on their own, they playing every kind of
venue you could imagine--including a Country bar in Salt Lake City--and were
well-received. Good music is good music!
This June they will be releasing their fth album in eight years and will be headlining
their own show at TRICKY FALLS, then they’ll be taking off on an East Coast tour to
promote the new release. They have four videos out: "Outcast", "23 (Here, Kitty
Kitty)”, "Zombie" and the newest, "Angel". All can be found on YouTube at "Bash
the Band Ofcial”.
BASH represents that “hometown boys made good” adage, as a band that has
broken out of the local scene here and they give hope for others to follow in their
path. It has been my honor to photograph them, attend the four shows that they've
done here over the past year and most of all, get to know these three gentleman on
a personal level. Without one shred of doubt in my mind, BASH is an act that is on
the move, never taking their foot off the gas--and won't until they make it to the top.
And at the rate they are going, it’s just a matter of time!
And although they say, “You can’t go home again”, coming home is what they will
do, for BASH has been added to the TEXAS SHOWDOWN FESTIVAL lineup,
opening for the OFFSPRING on the 19th of July, on the last day of this three day
event, right here in El Paso.
I recently had the opportunity to sit down with this “much-sought-after” band’s
founder Sebastian Felix…
