rom the very rst time I saw these guys, I liked them. They were
opening for the late, great WAYNE STATIC at the El Paso venue
TRICKY FALLS, which, needless to say, was a great show. But I
never forgot the opener--BASH. Then a couple of months later, they
opened for FUEL, again, at TRICKY FALLS. That alone stands out,
because not many locals open with any consistency for national
touring acts at “Tricky”. BASH is that band that stands out above the
rest here in El Paso. They literally jumped off the page at me the rst
time I saw them and I have been BASH-friendly over a year now.
The band consist of SEBASTIAN FELIX (Guitar), MICHAEL RUSSO (Bass
Guitar) and MIGUEL SAMANIEGO (Drums). I 've always favored a three piece
since I can remember, having grown up with bands such as GRAND FUNK
RAILROAD, RUSH, KING’S X and ZZ TOP--to name a few--and I believe this is
one of the reasons I favor this band as much as I do. Sebastian and Mike are the
glue that holds the band together. They been together for eight years, but have
been thru ve drummers during this period of time (which seems to be the norm
for some locals here), but when Miguel stepped in last October, he was the last
piece of the puzzle. Per the boys of BASH…he's one they've been looking for all
this time!
