Job Summary

The Tribal Member Benefits Operations Summer Intern will support the Tribal Member Benefits Department through administrative assistance, program support, and event preparation activities that serve Tribal Citizens. This internship provides exposure to the daily operations of Tribal programs and offers hands-on experience supporting services that benefit the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with organizing program materials and informational resources
• Maintain tracking spreadsheets and assist with basic data organization
• Support preparation of materials for workshops and community events
• Assist with departmental communications and general office operations
• Help organize program records and administrative files
• Support department projects aimed at improving efficiency and service delivery
• Maintain confidentiality and follow Tribal data handling protocols

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependable, punctual, and eager to learn

Preferred( Not Required):

• Experience with spreadsheets or organizing data
• Interest in Tribal government, community engagement, or public administration

Learning Outcomes

The intern will gain exposure to Tribal program administration and community services. Skills developed include administrative organization, data management, professional communication, teamwork, and an understanding of how Tribal programs support Citizens.
