Essential Skills and Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Any equivalent combination of training or experience related to utilities, maintenance, or mechanical work
• Ability to operate laboratory and utility equipment( training provided)
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with employees, contractors, and the public
• Dependability, willingness to learn, and strong attention to detail
• Ability to maintain basic records and assist with report preparation
• Understanding of safety procedures related to motorized equipment, hand tools, and power tools
• Ability to perform basic equipment maintenance
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and related utility equipment
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and working in outdoor or facility environments
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’ s license
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must adhere to all departmental safety policies and guidelines
